Check out what other bloggers and fans are saying about The Oh She Glows Cookbook:

Kirrily writes, “Oh how completely fabulous is this book?! I have never bought a cookbook that is more useful than this one. Other books are hit and miss with me. Some feature a few meals that Id love to make but accessing the ingredients locally is next to impossible. This book, has page after page after page of ‘OMG that would be yummo’ and better still the ingredients are easy to source. From breakfast to dessert this baby delivers. I have already made quite a few of the recipes and am shocked to realise I can actually cook! Worthy of dinner guests! The fact everything in it is so wonderfully nourishing, adds to the bliss. Congratulations on creating the best cookbook Ive seen (and USED) in 40 years. Im on Team ‘Oh She Glows’ and it tickles me pink. Hats off to you m’lady.”

Felicity writes, “So your book arrived this week – much excitement! I flipped through it immediately and loved the photos and presentation of your book so I wanted to congratulate you on that. I’ve made your veggie burgers and enjoyed them (and would’ve loved them if I wasn’t on an elimination diet and could have added all the tasty flavours, spices etc in your recipe) and my (should I add non vegan/non vego) boyfriend loved them! Win for everyone. In fact, for all those out there considering whether to buy it but you’re not sure cos you’re on a selective diet (gluten free, soy free etc) I say – take the plunge and buy it; it’s so special diet friendly! Like I said I’m on an elimination diet which means I can’t eat many things at all but with a few minor changes here and there I was surprised how many things I’m going to be able to make! Thanks Angela for your fab work; great job! x p.s. I’m in Australia – must be exciting to know your book is being shipped out all over the globe!”

Andrea writes, “Oh my goodness. We bought your cookbook a few weeks ago, and it’s quickly become our absolute favorite. Every recipe we’ve made tastes like it came from one of our favorite NYC vegan restaurants. And most are easy-peasy (note the lame vegan joke) to make. You’re awesome!”

Anne writes, “I received your cookbook today (along with a copy for one of my dearest friends) and I LOVE IT! I don’t think it’s too early to say, but I am pretty sure that your cookbook is the most cook-able and delicious vegan cookbook I’ve ever bought (and I got quite a few). And the greatest thing.. I KNOW everything tastes amazing and works.. cause you wouldn’t otherwise not suggest it! This is what set’s you so apart by everyone else. You actually eat what you cook! I am a huge fan of your blog already, but your cookbook will be a everyday go-to from now on, as well as a great gift for all my friends who like to cook! Thanks for being so awesome!!”

Robin writes, “I’ve been cooking from your cookbook constantly recently, with consistent 9.5/10 ratings from my three kids (a rare achievement even once!). I’ve been praising the recipes to anyone who will listen, including my fellow employees at a national Canadian book retailer. My husband couldn’t believe the savory oatmeal and lentil bowl didn’t have cream or cheese in it like risotto! My hands-down favorites are the chocolate smoothie and the salt & vinegar chickpeas. You turned simple ideas into something mind-blowing and delicious! My sincere thanks!”

Cher writes, “I got THE book today, and I have to tell you I am damned impressed. The cover, the size, the layout, the pictures – just everything. You’ve outdone yourself, and you should be VERY proud. And you know what else? Yours is the FIRST cookbook where I can honestly say that I can see myself making every single recipe in it. Most of the time when you buy a cookbook, you only want to try about half of what’s in it. I sat and looked at every single one, and I plan to try every single one. Wonderful job!!!!!”

Nita November 7, 2012 at 3:08 pm

Another cookbook that I LOVE that is loaded with pictures is Vegan Yum Yum! I can’t wait for the OSG cookbook either!

Chelsey April 6, 2013 at 10:41 pm

Crazy Sexy Kitchen is a great cookbook for Vegans and has lots of great photos too. :)

Amanda September 24, 2013 at 1:24 pm

Hey Elizabeth, Nope you haven’t missed any! I should have the first one out in March. :)

Christina May 21, 2012 at 6:27 pm

I didn’t receive any email updates yet. I thought I’d check here to see if there was any info about them :) Have you started sending them?

Angela (Oh She Glows) September 7, 2012 at 7:25 am

Hey Christina, Not yet, but I’ll be sure to announce it on the blog when I do!

Marja March 1, 2012 at 11:06 am

Hi Angela,

I just wanted to thank you 1) For your blog, and 2) For your recipes. So far I’ve made your wheatberry salad, the roasted tomato and basil pesto, and just last night your butternut squash and black bean burritos with great success! My meat and potato loving boyfriend cannot get enough of it!

I first started eating a more plant based diet about 4 months ago after watching the documentary “Forks Over Knives”. The research astounded me, and have been determined to live a healthier lifestyle since then.

I appreciate that your recipes are healthy, plant based, not loaded with tofu or other meat analogs, and most importantly… DELICIOUS!!!

I am in to way a cook, but your simple and delicious recipes have inspired me to get in that kitchen a bit more. It’s an amazing feeling to create a dish that is not only healthy, but delicious as well.

I am incredibly excited for your cookbook, and love the fact that you are planning on having pictures of all your dishes. This is probably why I started cooking in the first place! Your pics are amazing.

Thank you for inspiring me.

Angela (Oh She Glows) March 1, 2012 at 12:20 pm

Thank you Marja, that means so much to me!

Kelly March 1, 2012 at 11:53 am

I share your site with so many people but I’m really looking forward to being able to purchase all of your goodness and deliciousness and give them as gifts!

Jennifer March 2, 2012 at 9:38 am

I’m new to this as well, like Marja. I just came off a 60 day juice fast after watching Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. After searching everywhere for a plant based whole food diet I am now in love with your site! I am also in love with your VOO which I eat every morning!

I am so looking forward to the cookbook, I have printed off many recipes and put them in page protecters and a three ring binder!

Thank you so much for your time and dedication to this. You are an inspiration to many!

Keary April 11, 2013 at 12:52 pm

The fact that you printed them off and put them in a 3-ring binder made me laugh – I do that too! I can’t wait for the book. I really love this blog. Great pictures and great tasting vegan recipes. I am not vegan 100% yet, but since discovering OSG, I’ve been making better progress. My 7-year-old daughter loves the recipes, too. Thanks so much Angela!

[email protected] for the Soul March 2, 2012 at 12:54 pm

Ohhh this is soooo awesome Angela!! Congratulations : DDDDDD

Sandy March 4, 2012 at 2:39 am

OBVI I’m buying one. Can’t wait for 2014!!

Sarah March 5, 2012 at 8:56 am

Hey Angela,
I’ve slowly become addicted to your site… its now one of my firm favourites to check 5 million times a day.
I use your search tool all the time to inspire me with ways to use whatever is in the fridge… and I’m determined to make each and every one of your 22 vegan snack attacks within the next couple of months. Next up are your endurance crackers as we have a triathlon on Sunday.
I can’t wait for your book too. Will definitely order it all the way here to South Africa!

Any chance of you having kids soon?! I know thats personal but I’d love you to post ‘ultimate vegan meals for toddlers’ that would make my mission to keep my little boy off the dairy and meat a little easier!!

Annie March 1, 2013 at 3:32 pm

Seriously agreed! My 4 year old will not eat any of the vegan meals I prepare. Okay, so they aren’t that good, as I suck at cooking, but I’m trying really hard!

Natasha March 20, 2012 at 9:21 am

I am eagerly waiting to purchase your book!! I was wondering, is there going to be nutritional info for your recipes in the book?

Preena @ A Teaspoon Of Turmeric March 21, 2012 at 10:56 am

Your photos are amazing Angela, glad you’re going to have a pic for each recipe! :)

ceci March 23, 2012 at 11:25 pm

I found you on Pinterest. LOVE your site. I’m going to Whole Foods tomorrow to make the detox salad!

Delores November 23, 2013 at 3:40 pm

Me too! I was doing a search on Whole Foods Detox salad when I happened upon her site. looking forward to the cookbook.

Shanen March 25, 2012 at 8:03 am

Hi Angela,

I just stumbled across your actual blog although I’ve seen your name mentioned in the Everyday Happy Herbivore cookbook. I would second Natasha in asking if there will be nutritional information for each recipe included with your new cookbook.

I believe that would be fantastic for those of us watching our waistlines!

Thanks for your awesome blog and awesome looking recipes. Can’t wait to try!

Angela (Oh She Glows) March 25, 2012 at 3:20 pm

Hey Shanen,

Glad to hear you found me through EHH cookbook! :) RE: nutritional info…thanks for your input. It’s definitely something I am considering seriously. While I don’t rely on calorie counts in my own diet, I do recognize the desire for it among others. Take care!

Hailey August 31, 2012 at 10:54 am

Glad you’re considering nutritional info on the recipes. I have read loads of info about if you’re on a whole foods, plant based diet, you really ought not be concerned about calories because your body naturally will just take care of itself (in some respective moderation and with exercise). Though, I’m one of those people that just has trouble with portion control and a really hearty appetite. It’s nice to have perspective of how much I’m putting into my body so I can know what is a reasonable amount to eat, or when I can just get crazy on some plant based foods!

Christine September 2, 2014 at 9:48 pm

Nutritional information would be extremely helpful. I don’t count calories but I do try to keep track of protein, sugar, and B vitamins.

We tried the avocado pasta this weekend. It was delicious!

Pandora Smith February 27, 2016 at 3:26 pm

Hello Angela,

I think your cookery book looks wonderful but I too would like nutritional information included with each recipe. The reason for me is not because of wanting to know how many calories there are in order to lose weight, but in order to be aware of how much protein, carbohydrates (including sugars), fats (what sort included) and finally calories there are. Knowing about the vitamins and minerals would be a bonus too.

Like many people I am sure, I need to include a balance of protein to carbohydrate with everything I eat in order to keep even blood sugar and not have cravings or mood swings.

I went to a book shop today to buy your book but did not because i could not see this information.

Jordan April 1, 2012 at 10:21 am

Pictures for EVERY recipe! Those are the ONLY recipe books I buy. I have many books gifted to me that don’t have many photos and I never ever use them. I need to see the goods beforehand… besides, your photography is GORGEOUS – definitely you are a super talented photographer of food as well as food stylist, recipe developer and writer.

Angela (Oh She Glows) April 1, 2012 at 3:34 pm

Thank you so much Jordan.

Aimee Cofer June 7, 2012 at 7:47 pm

What cookbooks do you have that are vegan and have lots of pictures? I’m looking for some myself, thanks so much!

Krista April 6, 2012 at 2:11 pm

Can’t wait for the cookbook to come out! I am about 3 months into phasing out all meat/dairy (anything with a mother) after watching “Forks Over Knives”. I feel like I am learning how to eat all over again as I now watch the amount of protein vs total calories/fat in all foods. I would love to see nutritional info/servings since I am so new to veganism.

I can’t wait to make the peanut butter cups for my husband and the Green Monster! Love your site-keep up the great work!

Yasmine April 11, 2012 at 9:43 am

I’m so impatient about your cookbook! 2014 seem so far :(
Like Marja had wrote so well, I love your blog for your spirit and for your vegan recipes without fake meat and few vegan butter. Although i’m not vegan myself (I use sometimes butter, cheese, eggs and yoghurt…), I’m inspired by your vision of food.
So thanks for your blog!

PS: I don’t received any email updates. It’s ok or I missed something?

Jen is nuts about allergies! April 13, 2012 at 12:18 am

Love the blog…can’t wait for the book!
Your blog has been such a great resource for yummy vegan recipes (my obsession right now is the tofu strips). you have shown me that I can make delicious meals even on a student’s busy schedule.
I’m always looking for nut substitutions – suggestions in the blog/book would be awesome! I can never buy any bars because they’re all filled with nuts. I always go into the aisle, read all the boxes and walk away empty handed. haha. I also have yet to find a good homemade nut-free bar.
I’m trying to eat vegan, but sometimes a vegan meal PLUS the nut-allergy feels so limiting.

don’t forget about us non-nutty people! =)

Janet May 30, 2012 at 3:21 pm

Jen – I too am severely nut-allergic! It is so hard to eat healthy… Can you eat sunflower seeds? I use them quite a bit in place of nuts in recipes. Especially lara-bar type bars! I have just found out that I am allergic to coconut as well, which is awful! It is one of my favourites!

Jaki April 19, 2012 at 7:33 am

I love your site and so excited you have a book coming out soon! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful recipes.

C.A. @ How To Be A Heroine April 25, 2012 at 4:23 pm

Congratulations! I can’t wait to get a copy!!! :)

Trish Adams May 7, 2012 at 3:09 pm

cant wait!

Beth Anderson May 12, 2012 at 11:14 am

Love your werbsite and can’t wait for your cookbook. One suggestion–I am a Type I diabetic and need to count carbs. Could you include nutritional information for your recipes both on-line and in your upcoming cookbook. That would be great. Thanks. Beth

Colleen May 24, 2012 at 7:24 am

I’m soooooo excited for your upcoming cookbook!!! I love your recipes, they are awesome and so healthy! I can’t wait to buy my copy!!

Angela (Oh She Glows) May 24, 2012 at 11:15 am

Thanks Colleen!

aileen June 5, 2012 at 11:06 am

Since I found your blog a year ago, i feel like i have been working as your publicist! I tell everyone about this blog. Recently i was at a meditation retreat centre working in the kitchen, and…i was telling everyone there about your blog…but it occurred to me that your next book (or part of your first book) should feature recipes for a crowd. I struggled to scale up some of these recipes, and I know every retreat centre that has to cook for vegans would LOVE to get some of these recipes for 20+ people.

Angela (Oh She Glows) June 5, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Thank you Aileen, I appreciate you spreading the word about my blog! Thanks for the idea about recipes for a crowd, I will keep it in mind!

Aimee Cofer June 7, 2012 at 7:43 pm

Until your book arrives, do you (or any other readers) have any go-to vegan cookbooks that you use, or used to use before you became an awesome recipe creator yourself?? :) I love cookbooks with lots of pictures too. Looking at the Happy Herbivore and the uncheese cookbook (although I don’t think that one has many pictures). Thanks so much!

Becky June 11, 2012 at 7:42 pm

You website is so inspiring! 2 years ago my sister and I became vegetarian together which in a small town is hard because not only does everyone eat an abundance of meat but they also can not understand why one would not eat ribs. The first year was a struggle and because of a change in schools my eating disorder resurfaced. A year and a bit after that I discovered your sight and read your blog. Now, I am doing well and after another switch in schools I am still going strong. This due largely to the fact that your recipes are excellent and your story is inspirational thank you :)

Davina March 30, 2013 at 2:08 pm

Hi Becky,
I can relate to your challenge to eat healthy in a small town. I moved to a small southern town about a year ago and we have to drive about 25 miles to the nearest farmer’s market or health food grocery store. Last summer I ordered a ceasar salad from a local eating establishment and was horrified to discover that the salad came standard with BACON, yuck!!! Who puts bacon on ceasar salad? Yeah, I was ready to buy a ticket back to Cali that day.

Katie June 17, 2012 at 7:32 pm

I just needed to point out that I seriously cannot wait for your book! My sister and I arrange our entire meals plans for our respected families based off of your recipes so we are both anxious to get our hands on a copy once it’s out! =D

Laura June 29, 2012 at 9:08 am

Love to see that someone having so much passion for food and blogging can see their dreams coming true. Your an inspiration to anyone who someday hopes to make their hobbies of cooking and eating into something more.

Scarlett Renee' Skiles July 1, 2012 at 4:38 pm

I found out about your blog/website through a dear friend and am so excited about your recipes. I can’t wait to make something. The combination of the photography of your food and recipes makes all of the difference for these wonderful recipes that you have created. I am so inspired- thank you so much! Sincerely, Scarlett from Reno!

We bought a Vitamix last year and are making changes slowly. Your recipes will just add to our experience!

Angela (Oh She Glows) July 2, 2012 at 5:50 pm

Thank you, that is so nice of you to say! I’m so happy you enjoy the blog.

Belinda July 17, 2012 at 8:13 pm

I concur with all of the comments. LOVE YOUR SITE!!! I just stumbled upon it a couple of days ago and I will be sharing it with LOTS of people also. Is the cookbook going to have all the recipes on this site compiled into your upcoming book or will it be totally different recipes? Picture, healthy recipes, so excited :). Thanks for all your hard work, what a blessing to others.

Angela (Oh She Glows) July 19, 2012 at 12:11 pm

Hey Belinda, Thank you so much for your excitement! :) The book is going to have mostly new recipes with a good balance of “reader favs” thrown in too – the popular recipes that readers would expect to find in the book. Thank you for your kind words!

Amanda July 24, 2012 at 9:27 am

Please! Please! How long until the book is ready?! : ) My husband and I love all the recipes we have tried! I can’t get over how good you make vegan taste! It makes our lives so easy. And your recipes are simple, easy to follow, and don’t take all my time! They are perfect, and I can’t wait till you finish your cookbook, so I can buy a copy for myself and all my family and friends! I can’t not tell you how much I love and appreciate your work and photography! Thank you for helping us love our bodies, too!

Angela (Oh She Glows) July 26, 2012 at 7:44 am

Hi Amanda, Thank you so much! I’m so thrilled that you are excited for the book.

Rebecca July 25, 2012 at 8:27 am

Hi Angela,
A friend of mine in Los Angeles gave me your website. I am not a vegan but I’m looking for a healthier way to eat. You see December 2011 I weighed 295. July 21, 2012 I weighed 244. My goal is 175. How did I lose all this weight – STRESS from job, and life. Not a good thing. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and diabetic. So I’m searching. Thanks for your blogs.

sandra August 9, 2012 at 12:34 pm

Your recipes are so incredibles!!!!! congratulations

luv2run August 10, 2012 at 2:46 pm

Angela, can’t wait for your book! :D

**Rebecca! i know you were talking ot angela, but i’ll answer too hehe :) Don’t focus on what you shouldn’t eat, instead focus on what you should. Eat 5 servings of fruits and 5 servings of veggies everyday. in addition to that, swap your white bread for whole wheat, and cut out proccessed foods and soda! If you don’t want to go Vegetarian, eat lean meat such as turkey, fish (not technically meat, i know lol) and chicken. you will lose the weight in no time girlie! don’t give up! :) Also, start taking walks, and then start running :) Good luck! i know you can do this :D Oh, and getting your veggies won’t be to hard cuz of Angela’s a-m-a-z-i-n-g recipes :D

[email protected] August 13, 2012 at 11:46 am

Looking forward to get your book!

Natalie August 27, 2012 at 3:01 pm

Hi Angela,

I love your website and when my daughter starts school I am going to dive into more of your recipes. Question for you…did you do your website yourself or did you have someone do it for you? I am starting my own therapy practice and debating between doing it myself and having it done. I guess I am just curious to see how people have started their businesses.

Angela (Oh She Glows) August 29, 2012 at 5:53 pm

Hey Natalie, My husband and I both put work into the website. He did all the coding things and I do most of the visual/design things. If you want a basic template without changing too much you can find many via Wordpress and start a blog for free. They are quite user friendly. Goodluck!

Kathryn August 31, 2012 at 7:45 pm

Hi Angela,

I’ve signed up for your newsletter 3 times but have never received a newsletter email.
: [ — I love your recipes! your photos! your blog! your sense of humor! your writing style! and so I don’t want to miss any newsletters! Please add me to the distribution list. (Sometimes my last name is misspelled (missing the “h” before the “ell”?))
Looking forward to any and all updates! I’ve been inspired to get into cooking and have just purchased my very first chef’s knife. Only one little itty bitty finger slice so far. Kathryn

Angela (Oh She Glows) September 1, 2012 at 9:13 am

Hey Kathryn, Thank you for your enthusiasm! You are so sweet. I actually haven’t sent out a newsletter yet (shame on me!), but once I get things more under control I will certainly try to push a few out. Just need to figure out how to create them. I will be sure to announce it on the blog when I send them out. Cheers, Angela

KS September 8, 2012 at 6:10 pm

Hi Angela! Are you still looking for cookbooks testers? I’d LOVE to be one!

Angela (Oh She Glows) September 9, 2012 at 7:29 am

Hey there, Thanks for your offer! I’m not looking for any more at the moment, but that could certainly change as time goes on. :)

soleil September 11, 2012 at 7:54 pm

Hi Angela! My sister told me about you. I would like to follow your vegan recipes. Is your book out already?

Angela (Oh She Glows) September 12, 2012 at 6:27 pm

Hey there,
The book should be out early 2014. Thanks for your interest!

Fitjarald July 3, 2014 at 8:09 pm

Got it 1 week ago, and have completed almost half the recipes so far, it seems! ha!

Jenny September 11, 2012 at 9:51 pm

I love reading your blog and look forward to trying your recipes. I would love it if you included nutritional info in your cookbook. I try to keep track of what I eat. My metabolism has slowed to a crawl since turning 40 and I really have to pay close attention. I also have a strong family history of diabetes so I try to track my carb intake, too. Thanks so much for your blog and your inspiration.
