Pizza Porn

June 27, 2009

By the time I finally wrapped up my Glo Bakery work it was after 7:30pm and we still had to get to the grocery store…and we had a MAMMOTH order to get tonight!

We didn’t get home until 8:30pm- and still no dinner! While we were at the grocery store, I decided to finally try an Amy’s Pizza that I have been wanting to try for ages now! So when Eric saw my pizza, he goes, ‘Oh that’s it, I’m so getting a Delissio!!!’ (his favourite pizza).

So then it became PIZZA NIGHT!

I admit, I was NOT impressed when I pulled out my Amy’s pizza out of the box! What the heck did I buy…

 IMG_8206

It looks like a NO FRILLS pizza to me. And where the heck was the sauce?!

The nutritional info (clicky):

IMG_8211

I decided to add some veggies on top to spruce it up a little!

His + Hers in the oven:

IMG_8229

He had the Delissio and he always gets just cheese and pepperoni! He is a basic guy, what can I say? :)

Hers out of the oven:

And His:

IMG_8245

I ate half of the pizza and saved the other half for tomorrow’s lunch!

My plate:

And His:

Plate 2:

He had 3/4 of his pizza. :)

So what did I think of Amy’s Soy Cheese Pizza??

  • I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the pizza. Even the cheese tasted like normal cheese! Eric was surprised that it tasted so good too.
  • The soy cheese gets hard very quick so this pizza is best eaten right out of the oven
  • I am so glad I put veggies on mine, next time I will add even more (and more pizza sauce too, which this pizza was lacking!)
  • All and all it was a nice treat as I never buy these types of food. :)

Dessert was another delicious Cantaloupe Creamsicle and two Glo Ginger Cookies (my OBSESSION!!!!):

Mmmmm….so very very good:

IMG_8281

After I had my Amazing Grass mix, I had oodles of energy and Eric caught me dancing…

IMG_8261IMG_8276IMG_8263

Yup, I’m a dork and he loves me. ;)

Ok, it’s 10pm and we just wrapped up dinner- crazy!

We might go to a late show to see The Proposal or we might just cuddle up here and watch a movie.

Tonight’s Question: What is your favourite movie??

Mine would have to be the Anne of Green Gables series, being a Maritimer and all. :D I grew up watching it with my family. PLEASE tell me you’ve seen the movies!!!

See you tomorrow for an exciting Glo Bakery announcement and all the delicious groceries from today!

My fave movie has been Steel Magnolias since I was just a little girl. When I got married, our original date was around the same time Shelby’s was and we had a blush and bashful wedding. Lol

Cute dancing and yum pizza!

My favorite movie would have to be Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.

Happy movie watching,

Anne of Green Gables is one of mine and my mother’s all-time faves. When I was little I also loved the TV show Avonlea.

favorite movie = dirty dancing grease or now and then!

I’m not a fan of the amy’s pizza..JUST because of the lack of stuff on it..but I’m sure you could add a ton and it would be great lol..

Favourite movie? Too many to possibly pick one! My top 5, in no particular order: Dirty Dancing, Gone With the Wind, Serendipity, Titanic, and U-571 (I can’t resist Matthew McConaughey AND Jon Bon Jovi in navy whites! swoon!) Let us know how The Proposal is if you go! I want to see it because….let’s be honest…RYAN REYNOLDS SHIRTLESS!!!..but I think it will have to be a girl’s night flick because I’m pretty sure the husband isn’t as interested as I am, lol.

I agree with you and Danielle…the Anne of Green Gables series of movies as well as the Avonlea TV show are both great!

Another fav would have to be The American President. Steel Magnolias and Practical Magic are both great, too!

That pizza does look really good! Nice touch with the veggies.

Oh how I wish you would share the ginger cookie recipe! I guess I will just have to buy them myself. YUM!

Your hair is so beautiful and shiny! I’ve got to get on this green monster epidemic! haha

Has anyone ever told you that you look like Heidi Klum? Stunning.

I wanted to try Amy’s Pizzas. Amy’s has the BEST burritos in the world, though. You should try ’em some time! I wish I had more money to splurge and try most of the Amy’s stuff.. They make a nice meal when you’re too lazy to cook something that night. (Did I say Amy’s enough? I feel like I’m spokeswoman or something. -hinthinttoanyAmy’sbigbossesthatmightbereadingthis- hehe.)

Those ginger cookies make me even MORE curious everytime I see that you’re enjoying them, lol. I want to make them this christmas in attempt to impress my boyfriend’s mom.. but I’m tempted to make them now just for myself. -evil crackle-

Favorite movies? Has to be either The Secret Garden or Matilda. I used to watch both movies a bizzilion times when I was a kid, and everytime I watch them it makes me feel comfy and at home. I should really buy them on DVD so if I’m traveling and I feel homesick, atleast I’ll have something with me that relieves it a little, haha.

Ha- I just mentioned my love of Anne of Green Gables in my post today about PEI oysters. I have been to Halifax and PEI and just love it up there. Where are you from?
I actually prefer the books to the movies, but was Anne obsessed as a child. My overall favorite movie is It’s a Wonderful Life. Love it and watch it at least twice each Christmas!

As a hopelessly dorky romantic, I love Pride and Prejudice. I will always love you Mr. Darcy! hahahaha
I’m not a fan of Amy’s gluten free pizza. The crust gets all soggy and crumby. Not good, my friend, not good!

I’ve been meaning to try one of those Amy’s pizzas! Thanks for the awesome review! I love how you added on the extra veggies… such a great idea to make it a little healthier AND tastier.

Sounds like a fun night! And, yes, I saw one or two of those Anne of Green Gables movies, but it was a long time ago. My favorites have to be Sweet Home Alabama, The Terminal, Forrest Gump, and Stranger Than Fiction.

Have you ever tried Amy’s cheeseless veggie pizza that sounds like it might be more up your alley. I really like it.

My favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice (the newer one), Devil wears Prada, and Mona Lisa Smile. So fabulous!!

I’ve been wondering about those pizzas!

Do you eat dessert because your hungry or just for dessert? I often feel guilty for eating dessert just to eat it but I’m trying to learn that it’s normal!
