Eric and I had such a fun day together. It felt really nice to share an activity. As I mentioned in my previous FAQ post, I have been trying to find ways to help Eric enjoy exercise again.
So today I told him I would try mountain biking with him because I know that he enjoys biking a lot. I think he was quite happy to be doing it too! :) It was a fun way to spend time together in a healthy way. I told him that I would go every weekend this summer with him if he wants to! I am just happy to see him being active.
Despite the cold weather today, it was gloriously sunny and beautiful. We bundled up and once we got warmed up we were fine.

So all and all today was a fairly active day! We biked for about 1 hour and then I did about 30 minutes or so of gardening once we got home. Today was another great example of cross training! No treadmill needed. :)
I don’t know about you, but as soon as I saw the commercial for Maybelline Stiletto Lash Mascara I knew I had to try it!
I love stilettos after all.
I am constantly asked how I walk in 4” stilettos by friends and family. The truth is I don’t know how. I just love them.
I knew this mascara would be for me.
I opened it up and looked at the wand. I am a pretty good judge of how I will like the mascara when I see it.
The wand was narrow and feathered, and the mascara itself has a nice sheen to it and looked a bit glossy. I instantly knew that the mascara would probably go on with minimal clumps. I find Maybelline has always been good at this!

My review?
I think it is obvious that I LOVED this mascara! From the moment the brush touched the tips of my lashes I knew it was ‘the one’. I didn’t have to wipe off any excess from the brush before using. Which rarely happens for me. I had no flakes even after a long day + activity + cold winds. There were also ZERO clumps! Tonight, I tried another coat just to see what it would do, and to my amazement my lashes got even longer! I think this mascara more than doubled the length of my lashes– sans falsies!
I loved it so much that I went back to the drugstore and bought 2 more! With my luck they are going to discontinue this stuff. :)

My number one beauty trick is to use sunscreen every day no matter what — even if it is cloudy outside. It will really save one’s skin for the future!
My beauty tricks have already been said….sleep and moisturizer w/ sunscreen everyday! I also put aquaphor on my lips every night.

My beauty secret? Drinks copious amounts of water and use an amazing, albeit super expensive, undereye concealer. It seriously works wonders!!! I love mascaras and want to try the Stiletto. Hope I win.
First comes sleep, then comes Proactive! It really transformed my face to a heathly and cleared skin. I sound like an infomercial but it’s the truth! :)
My number one beauty trick is Aveeno Warming Exfoliant. It is warming while you’re rubbing it in and leaves your skin so silky smooth!
What a great contest, Anglea! I’ve been meaning to try that mascara. My #1 beauty trick is actually wearing mascara–my eyes look so small and tired without it! Also, I apply a little bit of white eye pencil at the inner corners of my eys–this really brightens up my face. :)

I think my number one beauty trick is tie between curling my eyelashes (NOTHING makes me look more awake or my eyes bigger), and being happy/confident with yourself. It brings a natural glow :D
I would love to try that mascara. I too have those blonde invisible lashes. My favorite beauty trick is to eat well adn drink lots of water. Eating healthy makes me feel good and my skin has never been better.

My beauty trick #1 is turmeric or Besan(rice flour) purifying masks as well as Moroccan Argan Oil for any use(hair, skin, nails..). the masks are for the body or the face. these tricks really work wonders and thats the beauty secret of indian and moroccan women.

My favorite tip would have to be to keep those pearly whites WHITE! I use the Crest Whitening Strips (super <$$$) 2 x’s a year – any more than that and it’s not great for your teeth. I get a lot of compliments on my smile/teeth and I always tell my secret – white teeth make you look completely different…kinda crazy. :-)

That mascara sounds amazing. I used to think that Lancome’s Definicil was the best but at $30 plus taxes, I couldn’t justify it. If I don’t win Stiletto (I will be jumping up and down around the house), at least I know I can go buy it for myself and not break the bank.
