Good afternoon!
Well, I am sad to say that we are supposed to get another snow storm tonight- 10-15cm! Ugh, when does it end!?
Onto happier thoughts :D
Today I spent the day in the kitchen…I’d say about 5 hours worth! Eric is working today so after he left I decided it was time to add another cookie to my ever growing bakery collection. Afterward, I had some fun playing photographer and then not so much fun with clean up.
What did I make?
The classic sugar cookie with a twist.
Wheat Sugar cookies!
No longer are sugar cookies simply a load of white flour…these babies had some wholesome 100% whole wheat flour added in for some fibre.
And now for the good stuff….
For today’s batch, I went with the Blue + Pink Oh She Glows colours:
And then the not so fun part…clean-up..
I spy with my little eye:
- Almond Breeze
- Squash
- Amy’s Organic Crackers
- Bulk raw almonds in tupperware
- 2 boxes of Larabars from Bree :D
- No name whole wheat bread
- Pasta
- Cat treats
I am now exhausted and still have more clean up to do!
I am also fighting a cold (thanks hubby!) so I am just going to take it easy tonight. Eric quickly reminded me this morning that I am too short to scrape the popcorn off the ceiling. This is the only time in my life where being short (ok average height!) has come in handy. Ok, this and being able to fit in small spaces. :D Tomorrow is going to be popcorn day…we are recruiting our friends and family with bribery (Free beer and my cooking). Oh behave.

It’s snowing here too (I’m in southwestern Ont.) and I hope it stops soon! We’ve only got about 5cm but that’s enough for me at this point in the year!

Mmmmm sugar cookies! So good! When I was little, I always wanted to help my brother bake. This, of course, meant that I got stuck with clean up duty, but I didn’t care because he let me help him. If only cleaning up had the same flare as it did when I was ten!
