Oh man, your pics are beautiful and make me lust for fall!! I live in Southern California, and we don’t really have seasons to speak of. I miss the leaves and the crisp weather. And wow!! That food looks perfect for the fall–especially the butternut squash!! :-)

very evocative of the season. your photos speak for themselves!

Shari October 6, 2010 at 8:03 pm

Thanks for the reminder of how amazing fall is. It is my favorite season by far but Ive not been able to enjoy it this year as it seems by the time I leave school every day it is already dark. Since its not suppose to rain tomorrow I am going to get up earlier than normal to take a walk (which will also allow me to study for a tree id test).

rachel October 6, 2010 at 8:06 pm

so beautiful <3

Lauren October 6, 2010 at 8:07 pm

STUNNING. Fall rocks! :)

Gorgeous photo’s. The colors of fall are just so beautiful, how can you not fall in love?

Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat October 6, 2010 at 8:20 pm

Favourite photo of the bunch is definitely the gingerbread oats with the soft ginger cookie, closely followed by the cut up squash. These photos make me forget about how crap the weather was today!

Hilary October 6, 2010 at 8:27 pm

Your fall is looking much nicer than mine so far! It’s been raining for days now and everything is icky. Your dessert plate is also looking delicious! I might just have to make the pumpkin brownie for Thanksgiving!

Shanna, Like Banana October 6, 2010 at 8:32 pm

I was feeling a little unsettled tonight and decided to check your blog before hitting the sack. So glad I did! These pics really changed my mood instantly and now I feel a lot more at peace with things, and grateful for being surrounded by my favorite season right now. I think I shall favorite this blog post and title it Autumn Splendor so I can reference it whenever I need a pick me up!

Mimi (Gingersnaps) October 6, 2010 at 11:20 pm

You make me love fall even more!

Erin @ Living and Loving in L.A. October 6, 2010 at 11:52 pm

Your pictures are absolutely phenomenal! I just adore the picture of your boots in the leaves! Such a great image of Fall.
The leaves are sort of changing here in L.A., as much as they do. I’d love to cozy up with some cocoa and play in a huge pile of leaves myself!

Anne @ Food Loving Polar Bear October 7, 2010 at 12:42 am

Lovely, I love the colours in the trees!

Jo @JAGSfitnessblog.com October 7, 2010 at 12:50 am

Oh, such beautiful photos!! We’re heading into summer (well, it’s spring) here and now I wish we were back a season or two. So gorgeous.

Gail October 7, 2010 at 2:52 am

LOVE those pictures! Fall is a great season, for so many different reasons – the air is crisp, the leaves are turning, the tastes of fall – gotta love it all.

P.S. I cracked up at the picture of your cat at the bottom of the post – such a ham!

Emily October 7, 2010 at 4:42 am

This post made me smile. :)

lisasfoods October 7, 2010 at 9:09 am

I just love those tiny orange lanterns. We got some last fall at a local apple orchard, and kept them until just a week or two ago! It was so warming to have a piece of autumn in our living room all year.

AGS October 7, 2010 at 9:25 am

There are two fall fruits (they are available year-round in many comments, but in the Northeast, we usually see them in the fall) that I haven’t seen you enjoy: fresh figs and persimmons. I love both of these fruits, and usually can eat a basket of figs all by myself in 1-2 days. You can use persimmon pulp in baking for subtle flavor that’s out of this world.

Laura October 7, 2010 at 9:28 am

I saw your blog was mentioned in the latest issue of Canadian Living Magazine. Congratulations.

Angela (Oh She Glows) October 13, 2010 at 4:40 pm

Amari @ Eat Chic October 7, 2010 at 2:39 pm

I LOVE autumn, your pictures a gorgeous! The other day I was at William Sonoma and they have all sorts of pumpkin and squash sauces and marinades, so festive! Anyways, I came across a Pumpkin Curry that looked intriguing; I didn’t buy it but I’ve been inspired to try and make something similar at home! Have you ever made a pumpkin curry? Any thoughts or tips?

Clare @ Fitting It All In October 7, 2010 at 4:53 pm

I think that post should be retitled “Reasons why Clare loves your blog”. Your photos are amazing…but it helps that they are of amazing food!

Katie October 8, 2010 at 7:51 am

Thanks for the beautiful post! The leaves in Maryland haven’t started to change so this gives me something to look forward to :)

Ashley October 8, 2010 at 12:06 pm

Each picture is stunning! I especially love all the baked goods. But I can’t help but staring at the second to last picture (the leaves). One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.

Taryn October 21, 2010 at 9:51 am

What are the 2 pictures of VOO you have in this post…..gingerbread and pumpkin? Where can I find the recipes you used? They both look amazing!
