We ate at one restaurant on Paradise Beach…I can’t remember the name but it was not good. It was at the very end of the beach, just past a hotel with an outdoor pool.

If someone said “You can go anywhere in the world today, where do you want to go?” It would be Mykonos. It’s always been Mykonos. Beautiful.

Greece is at the top of my list of places to visit in Europe and your pictures only reconfirm that. Beautiful! And I love the idea of going on a European cruise for a honeymoon. What a great way to be able to take in so many destinations in one trip!

So gorgeous! I’ve wanted to go to Greece for so long. My husband and I initially picked there for our honeymoon but it ended up being too expensive. It’s still at the top of my list.

I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to Mykonos? How long did you stay? Was it enough time? Was the language barrier a problem?
We were there 1/2 a day (it was on our honeymoon cruise)…language barrier wasn’t really a problem while we were there…we practiced the basics :)

How amazing! I love these photos. Greece was one place I really wanted to go when I was living in Prague but never made it to. A friend and I were literally pushing “purchase” on plane tickets for there… and then they increased the price $400. Bust. We went to Ireland instead :) Also awesome, but very different, obviously!

We lived in England for 3 years and traveled a lot while we were there. Greece is one of the few places we’re kicking ourselves for not getting to. Who know? We could always get stationed back in England. :)

Wow, awesome pictures! I’m going to Greece for 3 weeks to study abroad for a culinary journalism class starting on the 24th of May and I’m looking forward to it! Can you recommend any sites to visit or restaurants or Greek dishes worth trying? :D We’ll be in Athens, Monemvasia, Aegina, Naupleon and a few other places, and we get 3 days to ourselves so if you have anything worth doing / seeing / tasting let me know!
Hi Daniel- theres a famous, amazing street in the centre of Athens lined with restaurants + kind of ‘kebab’ shops- go there for souvlaki+ pita (if you are an omni!). The pita in Greece is totally unlike that which you get in other places… also pop into a local supermarket and pick up some Greek yogurt- they have so many different types, all lovely. Greek salads are amazing- you get a huuge slab of feta on top for next to nothing. We used to order quite a few appetisers as our main course- the best places to go are the ones in back streets/non- tourist hotspots, as then you don’t get overcharged/served substandard foods. We loved fava bean dips, pasticio, calamari (but careful they don’t bring you whole squid!)… so many more but I can’t remember. Unfortunately these aren’t veggie friendly tips as I was still an omni last time we travelled- this yr it will be different! Enjoy… try and go on a day trip to Delphi if you can- stunning ancient remains+mountains ;)

My husband and I went to Greece for our honeymoon in Sept ’09. We LOVED it! We just looked at your pics and remembered traveling to the exact same places…so fun! We even rented a similar car. As much as we loved Mykonos, Santorini was definitely our favourite. Thanks for sharing!!

Oh, I worked on Mykonos for 3 months 2 summers ago (I lived in one of the big houses in Little Venice – so amazing) and this post just made me so homesick! Luckily, my little sister followed in my footsteps and is there right now working – I get to visit in a month :) Thanks for bringing back some amazing memories!!

Where is that white shirt from? So cute – I am going to Texas in a few weeks and need hot weather clothes!
I got it on the honeymoon for 5 euro in Kusadasi, Turkey at some random stand outdoors! Unfortunately I think I shrunk it badly in the wash. It hangs with pride in my closet lol

Have fun!
