Those look fantastic! Especially the one right above the duck, with the filling? I’m not sure what it is, but it looks great!

Dont’ mean to be a downer, but I have been meaning to ask for ages. What should you do after a lapse in eating? I mean, i’m a recovering anorexic, and now and again I binge on something sweet like, ahem, cookies and afterwards I feel terrible. How do you get past that moment of beating yourself up about it? (Thanks in advance, and sorry if this made no sense to you)
I hope it’s okay I replied to your comment – I’m in recovery from disordered eating and when I have a lapse where I overeat something that I don’t consider healthy or good, I try to balance it by eating healthier the next day, or even the next meal. I know it’s hard and sometimes totally scary to eat a whole bunch of cookies and then think, “OMG WHAT DID I JUST DO?” but thankfully every time you eat is a chance to put something good into your body again and make yourself feel better. Last time I overate out of a bag of cookies, I wasn’t hungry for dinner, but I made myself eat some carrots and cucumbers just to get some veggies into my body, and I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t do it again the next day. Flexibility is key, here, and it’s about using those negative feelings to motivate yourself into positivity rather than drowning yourself in misery for one small mistake.
It does make sense to me because I went through it for years. I try to think of the big picture and realize that one binge will not ruin me. I always got over them. After I entered into recovery I still binged for about a year off and on. My body couldn’t trust me for a long time. It takes time so be patient. I find that a good workout always helped me get back on track too. You can also check out my binge eating posts found on my hot page: www.ohsheglows.com/hot
Goodluck!
