I got some exciting news this morning!!

I was asked to do an interview for a MAJOR news station here in Toronto. I am super excited and a bit nervous (ok, a lot nervous- but excited!).

They arrive at our house Friday at noon and the interview will air on Monday. I don’t think I can reveal any details yet, but they will be coming shortly.

What do I wear???!

Back soon!

for some reason i originally read that it was a radio station, not a tv station and thought “does it really matter what you wear?” but then did a re-read and understand that yes, clothes are important!

Congratulations! Good luck deciding what to wear!

Kelly Michelle December 2, 2009 at 3:45 pm

amazing! you are such an inspiration to all women. Your business is growing so fast you are going to need a whole team of glo bar makers!

Kelly Michelle December 2, 2009 at 3:49 pm

oh and clothes, I would say heels of course and dress pants with a colored but dressy top, not a jacket, I think you need to look fun fresh and young (as you always do!) so you don’t want to look stuffy, stay comfy but chic and be true to yourself, you want people to relate to you but still respect you as a successful business owner

NeverSayDiet December 2, 2009 at 3:51 pm

wear a bright jewel-toned color- they look good on screen. And lots of makeup – it might look cuckoo in person but will show up well on camera. Good luck!

Betherann December 2, 2009 at 3:53 pm

Morgan @ Life After Bagels December 2, 2009 at 3:59 pm

Whoa hooray! Let us know when it’s airing if you can, I want to watch it!

KefirGirl December 2, 2009 at 4:00 pm

don’t be nervous – I’ve heard the rule is to pretend you’re just talking to a friend and it will come off naturally.

Leila December 2, 2009 at 4:04 pm

Congrats! May sound cheesy, but don’t forget to wear a big smile.

Sana December 2, 2009 at 4:05 pm

Jewel December 2, 2009 at 4:23 pm

Oh how scary and exciting!

I am not surprised…you have the Midas touch..although I know you work very hard, you instinctively seem to have the right formula for success.

No matter what you wear you will certainly be glowing!

I hope we can see it online!

Gillian December 2, 2009 at 4:30 pm

EXCITING!! I will watch for sure!
Wear whatever you feel fantastic and comfortable in – I know that statement could include Lulu stuffs (obvy) haha – Dark jeans and a great dressy(ish) sweater//top are my vote! Your great attitude should be able to shine through!

Can you say what it’s about? Is it about the bakery? Because that’d be AWE-some!

Tiffany S. December 2, 2009 at 4:36 pm

Oh my Gosh – so exciting! I was interviewed for a consumer advocate thing earlier this year and was a nervous wreck. They’ll do a ton of editing plus I’m sure you’ll be FAB!

Bridget December 2, 2009 at 5:36 pm

YAY!! How exciting is that!?!? Way to go Ange, you’ll do great :)

Amy December 2, 2009 at 5:41 pm

Wow, congrats!! I know you’re probably a bundle of nerves, but you have nothing to worry about – after all, they can always edit the footage if you trip over a word or need to start over. You’re going to do an awesome job!!

I’ve heard you should avoid wearing red, white or black on camera, as well as stripes or small patterns. Hope that helps!

Leah December 2, 2009 at 5:45 pm

That is SO exciting!! Congrats!!

Cynthia (It All Changes) December 2, 2009 at 5:49 pm

You’ll do great. Just be you!

Deb December 2, 2009 at 5:56 pm

With no details of why they are coming, it’s hard to say exactly. I would either go for dressy jeans or slacks with a bright jewel tone top. Like everyone else said, a color that will make you “glow”.

Sarah December 2, 2009 at 6:00 pm

Congratulations!!! So exciting, and so nerve racking! You will be fabulous :)

Laura @ Backstage Pass to Health & Happiness December 2, 2009 at 6:11 pm

Congrats Ange!

Wear a suit or some Lululemon :-D Depends on if the interview is more about your blog, or more about the bakery!

Katie December 2, 2009 at 6:17 pm

Congrats!!! Can’t wait to hear details :)

Susan December 2, 2009 at 7:29 pm

Congrats Angela!!! Anything I’ll be able to catch in NB?

As someone who’s worked in TV – wear colour, and a necklace if you go for a lower-cut shirt. No white!! Other than that, you’ll look gooooorgeous ;)

rungirlrunn December 2, 2009 at 7:34 pm

Congrats that’s awesome!!! Wear something that makes you feel confident :)

Eri December 2, 2009 at 8:01 pm

maybe wear that dress everyone liked but you decided was too casual for a wedding? and maybe wear tights under it or something? and some cut jewelry?

I don’t really remember if it looked “summery” or not.

but i agree with eveyone who says to wear bright colors, or maybe something in a jewel tone..OoOo. ok, dont ask me, im too indesisive.:]

and thanks for letting me use some of your quotes, my teacher really liked my paper.:]

Pam December 2, 2009 at 8:24 pm

Good luck Ange!

Anne P December 2, 2009 at 8:35 pm

Omg how exciting!!! Can’t wait to hear more :) You will be great!

Laura December 2, 2009 at 8:44 pm

CONGRATS! I echo everyone’s comments about a bright or jewel tone color for you to “glo”! I once read Lauren Conrad from the Hills say she couldn’t wear some prints on TV – I think they they didn’t show well or something.

I hope you can get a video clip of it so all of us that follow you from a distance can see your interview!

Lauren December 2, 2009 at 8:57 pm

WOW!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! You will rock it! Can’t wait to see it!! :)

Shannon December 2, 2009 at 8:59 pm

I say wear a cashmere V-neck sweater with a long layered necklace and if you want a casual vibe wear a dark wash jean (if you want a more dressy vibe try a pencil skirt or a nice pair of pants)! Best of luck with the interview!

Annalisa December 2, 2009 at 9:02 pm

That’s so exciting! Ironically (and way randomly), I just did an interview today for our local TV station. I was SOOOO nervous (hello fear of public speaking, I thought I left you in college!). However, the newcaster totally puts you at ease and pre-interview you before hand so you are comfortable with what you are saying. Way more mellow of an experience than I anticipated. You’ll do great!!

Now the fashion part, I would be (and was!) nervous. If it’s not yoga pant, I have no advice ;-)

Jess (Fit Chick in the City) December 2, 2009 at 11:33 pm

That is so awesome! I’m sure no matter what you wear you absolutely glow! Can’t wait to hear more about it!

Brynn December 3, 2009 at 12:04 am

How exciting! Good luck, Angela!!!!

Jolene December 3, 2009 at 12:33 am
