November In Review

by Angela (Oh She Glows) on November 28, 2009

Good morning friends!

Thank you to everyone who took advantage of the Black Friday Glo Bar sale…wow, let me just say I will be working around the clock all weekend!!! Next week, I also start baking up the Holiday orders and they will start shipping out on Friday. I am almost at capacity for the holiday season, so if you are wanting to get an order in, it’s a good idea to get it in soon.

Last night I watched some Gossip Girl of course…I’m now at Season 2, episode 5!!! I am quite sad about Dan & S. :( but I think it’s hysterical the ‘war’ that is currently going on right now. I love seeing this side of Serena. Eric heard on the radio that the most stress-relieving activity a woman can do is watch her favourite show, and I couldn’t agree more. I’m ‘in the zone’ when I’m watching Gossip Girl, 24, and Office.

Ok, let’s get this November in Review going! Here are some of my favourite posts of the month.

So there you have it…it has been a busy month! I hope you have enjoyed as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

Well, I am off for a long, long day of baking! I have 320+ Glo bars to make this weekend including packing and shipping them out! No peace for the wicked I tell ya. ;) Eric is busy doing renos. He is finishing priming and sanding the front entry way and this weekend he will be painting. I can’t wait to show you the before and afters! We chose this beautiful colour called ‘Biscuit’ by Sherwin Williams. I found this pic on Google Images of course.

You had quite an action packed November! I love the paint color you chose for your entry way too. :)

Jessica @ Dairy Free Betty November 28, 2009 at 12:38 pm

YAy for the paint color, we have that color (or very similar) in our living room, it’s fresh, yet cozy!

Thanks for the reminder of the pumpkin pie, I want to make it for Christmas dinner!! :)

Have a fantastic day baking!! :)

Kristie Lynn November 28, 2009 at 12:43 pm

Very beautiful color for the entry way! Good luck with all the baking you have planned :)

AGS November 28, 2009 at 12:46 pm

That is a lovely color.

A suggestion: hire an assistant for the month of December. A university student would be happy to earn extra cash by handling your packaging. Hey — maybe you could even arrange with your alma mater to give some business student a few credits (does it work this was in Canada) to assist you and learn about start-up businesses that operate in an online/social networking forum AND are thriving in a down economy.

Hey. . . that’s an interesting case study/research paper right there. ;)

Seriously — congrats on your orders and the success they represent! What a different way 2009 is ending for you than 2008, eh?

Julie @savvyeats November 28, 2009 at 12:51 pm

You have had some really great posts this month! I’m not even going to try to pick a favorite, but I will say I learned a lot from the post about what you’ve learned as a blogger!!

Ameena November 28, 2009 at 1:29 pm

I second Julie’s comment, I have learned a lot from you. And if I had to pick my favorite post I’d say the cookie dough balls!

Bronwyn November 28, 2009 at 1:45 pm

I like that colour.

And I’ll have to try those cookie dough balls.

Paige @ Running Around Normal November 28, 2009 at 1:47 pm

November was a great month for you! I’ll have to try the other versions of those cookie dough balls.
Love that paint color. that’s close to what’s in our kitchen.

Bridget November 28, 2009 at 2:06 pm

I’ve loved all your posts, but I think my favourite of this month was the things you learned as a food blogger.

Carolyn November 28, 2009 at 3:20 pm

I hope you get a break this weekend. Good luck!!

Katy @ These Beautiful Feet November 28, 2009 at 3:26 pm

What a great month of posts! I loved the “Manly Man Green Monster Challenge” because of the hard work you put into figuring out the best GM for your hubby. Love it! :)

Jil November 28, 2009 at 3:39 pm

Such a busy month! and I cannot believe that it’s almost over already!! I have learned so much and got so much inspiration from your posts! Time flies when you’re busy or having fun! (or busy having fun? haha) The paint color is beautiful! (not to mention the kitchen in that photo is to die for!)

Jolene November 28, 2009 at 4:52 pm

That paint colour is lovely! I am looking for a new colour for my kitchen too :-)

Monica November 28, 2009 at 5:27 pm

I have many favorite posts of November, I love your blog because it has such a large variety of topics, but yet all health related, and thats what I love about it.

Some of my all time favorites have to be the eating disorder related posts because I feel like those I can relate to the most.

Marsha November 28, 2009 at 6:43 pm

OK, so I love reading your blog, and all your Nov posts have been great – but Sketchie is my fave. I’m going to kidnap him and bring him to my house! :P

maria November 28, 2009 at 7:59 pm

LOVE the paint color you chose for your kitchen. Looks very homey.

Karla November 28, 2009 at 8:54 pm

November was a great month! I’m sure December will be even better!

Thanks for the recap! I’m going back and rereading a few of these now :)

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is November 28, 2009 at 10:02 pm

That color for the kitchen is gorgeous!

[email protected] November 28, 2009 at 10:41 pm

Yay for GG! I have a handful of terrible shows I watch, and they totally do wonders for stress/anxiety. Its nice to lose your serious self in other people’s fake drama :)

chrysta November 28, 2009 at 10:47 pm

I love all your posts but my favorite was #16 on how you beat your eating disorder. Ive been calorie counting forever and am now “intuitively” eating. Its scary but good at the same time. Im learning to trust my body again finally! Thanks for all the great writing! Those photos of your cat crack me up though!!

Alex November 29, 2009 at 11:27 am

Tania @ Moment Anew November 29, 2009 at 12:28 pm

I really liked the one about beating your eating disorder. As someone who’s just starting to lose weight, I’ve decided not to make myself crazy by counting every last bite and have just decided to eat healthy and eat intuitively. So far, it’s going really well!

That said, I love all of your posts. Always have :)

Allison November 29, 2009 at 1:29 pm

busy busy woman! thats awesome to hear though, means great success!
happy baking

Laura Georgina November 29, 2009 at 2:53 pm

What a great November! My favorite posts were the sticker wars posts. I used to absentmindedly leave stickers on the counter, but now I do it with purpose! However, the Hus is moer absentminded than me (and s-l-o-p-p-y in the kitchen) so he hasn’t even noticed….

Hope the order-making is going ok. If you get flustered, just think of how much better things are now than they were before–and if that fails, give Sketchie a chase :-)

EaterNotARunner November 29, 2009 at 3:51 pm

Love the recap! Good luck with all that baking :-)
