I talk about the accent comments and show you another favourite and quick hair style!
Note: My apologies if the music is too loud. I realized this only after uploading it!
My mother in Law took me to a wholesale lighting store today because she was going to buy me a few lighting fixtures for my birthday!
The bad news was that when we got there the place had moved!! :( So we didn’t shop for any lighting today, but she did take me to one of my favourite wholesale stores called ‘Tuzzy Muzzy’s’. We had a ball looking through every aisle! Check out these pictures that I snuck :)
The prices in these wholesale stores are ridiculously cheap!!!!! Most items are 50-75% less than what you would pay retail. They also have tons of furniture I didn’t take pictures of.
Look at this jewelry section!!! We had a ball in here :)
I had my eye on a few things!!!
And a few purses…
In the end I bought 4 small things as a little b-day gift to myself (my b-day is Saturday)…and get this- I only spent $22 CAD including tax!!!
I will be showing you a couple of the things tomorrow and the rest on Friday or Saturday :)
Eric and I are staining the last two beams and then starting painting tonight! I am feeling pretty stiff from last night so I might do a few yoga poses before and after this time. I still have to read all of your wonderful comments about blisters too! I can’t wait. My MIL actually gave me a piece of her moleskin (she uses it for raking the garden) to try out. I hope it works! :)
Have a great Wednesday night! :)

Tonight’s question: What’s your favourite way to wear/style your hair??
Such fun!!!
Favorite hairstyle: either down and straight or moussed into wild curls.
Hey, would you want to do a guest dinner post for me??
Sure next week should work for a guest dinner post :) Email me with details! (Angela)
Haha, that was a very cute, informative video! I’d probably buy ten of the hypothetical curling-iron mitts as well.
Ha, as a Maritimer, I find people in Ontario have accents! I have a sister who lives in Ottawa and I tease her about it whenever she comes home :P
I used to do ponytail like that all the time… I should start again! My favourite hairstyle is just scrunching up my wet hair to make it go really wavy/curly. I also like braiding the front part of my hair as a fancy way to keep it out of my face :)
Now that you mention it, I think I used to think Ontario people talked funny when I first moved here! :) (Angela)
Ooh I love whole food stores and that one looks huge! Sounds like you got some good stuff :)
It’s awesome how you are able to make us want to come back to see what you bought.. just a taste and not all of it!! Great.
I love these fun beauty and fashion inspired tips. Thanks Ang!
And awesome store, I feel like you could find a TON of steals there!
That store looks amazing! I think I could spend a lot of $$ in there!
My wedding anniversary is Saturday! Let’s hope for some nice weather. OK?! ;)
What great finds you bought! I would go crazy in the purse section.
I like your video on how to make a fancy ponytail. I have really curly, frizzy hair and I always used to wear it in an up-do in my pre-ED days. Unfortunately, after my eating disorder and birth control pills I suffered from severe hair loss at my temples so now I cannot wear it up anymore. I have to mask my bald patches by wearing my hair down in a bun. I miss being able to put it up though. (Sigh). Too personal, I know. If you have any suggestions that would be great!
Love the jewelry!
I almost always wear my hair in a ponytail b/c I hate having hair in my eyes. My hair is extremely thick and hard to deal with.
What was the last song in your video? I really liked it.
What are some of your favorite Canadian bands?
oooh such cool stuff there. O:
I lovelovelove wearing my hair in pig tails. XD Okay, so eventually when I get past the age of 24 or so, I’ll probably have to stop wearing pig tails, but for now they look really cute, and my hair is too short to put it all into one pony tail. I’m not much for leaving my hair down, to be honest. Always get’s too messy and frizzy. :(
Haha, great video Angela. You have such knack for being in front of the camera!
What a great store! I just love browsing through places that have such unique, inexpensive items like that. It’s almost impossible to leave without buying SOMETHING! ;)
I love your video posts and your selection of music for them but I think the music is a bit too loud for hair demonstrations.
My favorite way to wear my hear is blowing it out after using Bumble & Bumble Tomic and Thickening spray. I can actually get my hair to look very close to what my stylist does!
What a fun day!
Cute! I have naturally wavy/curly hair so I just shower, put a little Aveda product in it and let it air dry. :)

Your hair looks great like that. I definitely need to try that curling iron trick. My hair is completely straight and I have a hard time getting it to hold curl.
What part of Georgia did you live in? That’s where I live :)
My favorite way to wear my hair is down with this small antiqued silver flower clip that has a sapphire in the middle right above my ear :)
I am from Canada but am studying in a small rural town in Pennsylvania!! My accent is an eclectic mess…..its part Indian, British, Canadian accents all thrown in :S….i get embarassed all the time when i talk here….coz i get asked to repeat myself twice!! :( and, when i return to Canada everybody understands me perfectly….the GTA region is just so multicultural!! :D
your hair videos are just tooo cute :) Angela I hope you know that you are my fashion go to girl, whenever I need a pick me up I just visit your blog and learn all about whats hot and whats not ;)
What an awesome store!
Since I cut my hair, I have but one style. Sigh.
Happy early birthday, in case I forget to tell you 23 times between now and then ;)
That store looks so great! I love cheap stuff..especially home goods and jewelry!
ha! im the one that commented on the Ange in my card!
i love your accent! When I was living in Canada, I used to always laugh at the accents! But I loved them too! The ‘about’ and ‘sorry’ (sore-y) and ‘eh?’ ! Canada is so fun!
Oh my goodness I love that shop!!
Can you take me there this summer???
I LOVE that bracelet!
Oh I think your accent is lovely! After living in the UK now for almost two years I can feel some small changes coming to my accent. Maybe mine will end up blended like yours one day, too ;)
Nice video, I like that idea and also excellent music! Counting crows are the greatest:)
I’ll have to wait to look at the video when I’m not at work! Really looking forward to it!
I have curly hair so it’s fun to straighten it sometimes. I also like doing low buns with my hair parted on the side :) easy, simple and classic
lol its so true..friends came down from teh states to visit me (im in ontario canada)
and they laughed and laughed and laughed when I said about!!!!..what is with that lol
Hair–down and straight (straightened with a flat iron and then slightly curled under). I am learning that with my big round face and huge cheeks that adding volume and width to my hair only adds volume and width to my face. Not attractive.
I also french braid my hair A LOT. I have about a million different ways I can braid it and people for some reason think it is fancy and took a lot of time.
Happiness Awaits
Loving the hair style.
