I Jinxed It

by Angela (Oh She Glows) on January 18, 2009

Well, I think I jinxed it when I said “I hope the power doesn’t go out” in my last post. The power didn’t go out, but the internet sure did! For a good 5 hours. It is storming here pretty bad. Eric and I have just about gone stir crazy. We are supposed to get about a 1/2 foot of snow tonight.

Spring where are you????

I couldn’t believe how many contest entries I received already for contest #2! only 2 canadian submissions so far though- come on where are my fellow Canadians?? I know you are out there! :D Your chances of winning are going to be pretty high from the looks of it!

So tonight I promised to do a couple food product reviews!

First up:

Neal Brothers Organic Tortillas and Neal Brothers Authentic Mexican Style Salsa

Now I have said this before and I wil say it again. I have never tasted better salsa than Neal Brother’s salsa!!!

This was my first time trying their organic tortillas:

Wow. A taste explosion in my mouth! I couldn’t have pictured a better combination of flavours.

These tortillas are superb!!! I actually have a hard time finding tortillas that I like because they are often too salty, but there’s were PERFECT!

Eric did a taste test as well, and despite being hesitant over the ‘blue’ tortillas, he loved them!

We intended to just ‘try one or two’ however that turned into a whole plate!!! We polished off half the bag and half the bottle. They were that good!

Up next:

Honest Foods Farmer’s Trail Mix Whole Food Country Square:

As soon as I opened the package, I was hit with the most pleasurable aroma ever. It smelled sooooo good!! I immediately checked the package to find natural almond flavour on the ingredients list (my favourite smell in the world!)

Look at those dried cranberries, raisins, and seeds!!

This is by far my favourite bar so far!

Great product reviews!

Thanks for the link about treadmill vs. outdoor running. That is a question I have been pondering myself lately. I have been running again on the treadmill after a couple of years off. In the past, I only ran outdoors and I am nervous about what will happen when the weather warms up.

Who am I to turn down a request from a fellow Canuck in a contest? LOL. I went to the NB website and I think they should come out with a line of tortillas/wraps, or maybe high fibre organic breads.

Sorry to hear you were without internet last night – that sucks! We were supposed to get 15 cm here in Hamilton but I’d be surprised if we got more than 5. Thank god it’s finally warming up a smidge!

Thanks for the product reviews as well as the links!

I’m currently training for my first half marathon as well and I’ve done most of my runs on the dreadmill. I can’t wait for spring to be outside again! My treadmill is in the basement and it’s hot and yucky down there. Spring better get here soon!
