Hey Angela,
I am a guy in my mid thirties and really just learning how to eat better and sort of coming in to a new way of thinking, if you will. I have always been a rather over the top kind of machismo guy but have certainly learned to tone things down as I come of age. As I approach 36yrs. old I find myself straying away from animal products. I can’t seem to really notice ANY healthful benefit to my system at all. Just so you know, I have been a hardcore meat eater my entire life. Although I have always preferred wild game. I find that animal products really slow my system and seem to take forever to process. Low-fat plant based foods seem to renew my vigor! Seriously, they fill me up, leave me feeling good about what I’ve consumed and my energy levels never wane when I stick to it. I am in no way a vegan. I still eat eggs and other animal products because I am still learning to discipline myself away from these. When I see your recipes and prepared food my body somehow instinctually knows that it is good for me and I notice an appetite! I can’t explain it but it works! I am on a path to better my diet lifestyle and coming across this website of yours has me inspired!
Thank you so much.

Johnny

Hi Angela,
Just wondering if I could replace the arrowroot you use in your recipes with guar gum?

Hi Angela,

I have recently adopted the vegan diet, trying to go mostly raw, however, that is time-consuming and not completely feasible. I absolutely love your site and appreciate the fact that you have many recipes that are geared towards the athlete, as I am training for the Boston Marathon and I need to make sure that I’m getting the proper nutrition. Great recipes, great work!

THanks,
Melissa

Hi Angela,

Just wondering what your thoughts on guar gum are? I haven’t seen you use it in your recipes…

Hi, I have been A vegetarian for several years now and just decided to go vegan (after reading “Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows”). For the pas three weeks I have been giving veganism my best effort, but all I felt really was hungry. ;) I found your blog by chance two days ago and have worked my way through three delicious meals so far. I just wanted to say thank you, I no longer feel hungry, and I have never tasted food this flavorful and exquisite (through all my eating phases). I have passed your blog information on to anyone who will lend an ear… Even the really sweet lady at the gym who overheard me tell my friend about the pumpkin pie oatmeal I had this morning and couldn’t help to interject.
You are doing a great thing lady!
Keep at it!
Nicky

Where in NB did you live? I’m a runner & EATER from NB, too (but I’m still here ;) )

Thank you so much! My husband is obsessed with the butternut squash and black bean burritos – and he’s about as much of a carnivore as can be! And I just love the Protein Power Goddess bowl! Keep the deliciousness coming!

I just wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed your blog and recipes. My husband had some not-so-good health tests results, so we have gone with a whole food/vegetable based lifestyle. I found your blog a few weeks ago when we started and have made several of your recipes so far. We have LOVED each one I have made. Thank you for all of your hard work and testing to make these amazing dishes to share with the rest of us! Your help has made us realize we can do this for the long term and stay healthier while eating amazing food. Everyone in our family thinks we just chew on bark. LOL!

I’m an older lady who recently got diagnosed with diabetes and I don’t even know how I stumbled on your site but I’m loving your recipes for healthy eating, so thanks a lot. You actually do glow in the photographs, and it makes me happy to know you’re on such a good path at a young age, to keep yourself healthy for always.
