<p>I felt SO amazing after today’s workout. You know those workouts that leave you drenched in sweat, glowing and energized?? That’s how I felt today. Nothing beats it.</p>
<p><strong>The workout:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Duration</strong>: 54 mins. </li>
<li><strong>Speed</strong>: 3.8 mph, incline 15% </li>
<li><strong>Max heart rate</strong>: 162 bpm </li>
<li><strong>Avg heart rate</strong>: 148 bpm </li>
<li><strong>Feel the burn</strong>: 454 kcals </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>This hill workout is tough, tough, tough!</strong> It was the same workout as the past couple days only I walked a bit fast (3.8mph vs 3.6/3.7). I also did 2 side planks (50 sec each-full arm extension) and a downward dog for kicks. </p>
<p>I studied my <strong>food safety manual</strong> while I exercised and my attention span <strong>capped out at 30 mins</strong>. <img src='http://ohsheglows.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  Same with yesterday. At that point <em>I just don’t want to be studying while working out</em>. It is a great way to <strong>kill two birds with one stone</strong>, though! Now all I have to do tonight is a quick review.</p>

<p>The other day I came across <strong>Spring and Summer 2009 colour pallet trends by </strong><a href="http://www.tfl.com/fashion_spring_summer2010.asp" target="_blank"><strong>TLF</strong></a><strong>.</strong> Apparently, TLF ‘forecasts’ the colour trends <strong>21 months in advance</strong>!</p>

<p><strong><em>What colour pallet do you like the best?</em></strong></p>
<p>I think my favourite is the <strong>classic colour pallet</strong>. That or casual. I think the chic would wash me out too much with all those beiges.</p>

<p><strong><em>I am curious, what is your favourite alcoholic drink?</em></strong></p>
<p>I love <strong>Wolf Blass Yellow Label Chardonnay</strong> and <strong>Cabernet Sauvignon</strong>, as well as most <strong>light beers</strong>.</p>
<p>Back in <strong>university</strong> I used to drink <strong>tons of coolers</strong>, and no doubt those <strong>sugary monsters</strong> contributed to my weight gain! I hate the taste of most coolers now. Too much sugar, blech! I also used to drink a lot of Screwdrivers too. Again more sugar. One screwdriver has about 300 calories!</p>
<p><strong>Here I am in 2005/2006 (in university)&#8230;about 15-20 pounds heavier than I am now:</strong></p>

<p>I feel so much better since cutting out <strong>artificial sweeteners</strong>. Now it is just <strong>sugar in moderation</strong> thank-you-very-much. <img src='http://ohsheglows.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>I don&#8217;t know what it is, but I am feeling very blah tonight! I think I have a small case of the winter blahs today. very lethargic (despite sleeping in until 9:00am!). This calls for some happy pictures.</p>

<p>Another <strong>late morning</strong> post&#8230;.man it is a good thing I don&#8217;t have <strong>too many days off</strong> or all my posts would be <strong>out of wack</strong>!</p>
<p>I have been <strong>running around</strong> like a mad woman today getting stuff done.</p>
<p>I was <strong>debating</strong> for the longest time whether I would take an <strong>off day</strong> or a <strong>run day</strong>. I knew I was due for a <strong>tempo run</strong> after looking at my <strong><a href="http://ohsheglows.com/run/" target="_blank">Run schedule</a></strong>, but I also was feeling sore from the <strong>30-Day Shred</strong> workout I did yesterday. I <strong>played it by ear</strong> all morning and finally decided that I felt fine enough to <strong>&#8216;try&#8217; out</strong> a tempo run.</p>
<p>I said to myself, <em><strong>&#8220;If I am not feeling it, then I can stop and call it a day&#8221;</strong> [Whenever I say this to myself I almost always end up finishing the workout!]</em></p>
<p>I admit, <strong>my legs were tired</strong>. Tired. Tired. <strong>T-i-r-e-d</strong>. It probably <strong>should have been a rest day</strong> as my shins were sore from that mean, old Jillian Michaels.</p>
<p>What I did was I <strong>stopped</strong> every <strong>1/2 mile to 1 mile</strong> for a quick <strong>10 second break</strong>. This was enough to <strong>get me through</strong> the 4-mile tempo run!</p>
<p><strong>The workout</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>0.10 mile <strong>walking warm-up</strong>, 4.0 mph, incline 3%</li>
<li><strong>4 mile tempo run</strong> [1 mile 6.0 mph; 2 miles 7.0 mph; 1 mile 6.0 mph; all at incline 3%]</li>
<li>0.17 mile <strong>walking cool down</strong>, 4.0 mph, incline 3%</li>
<li><strong>Total duration</strong>: 41:22</li>
<li><strong>Max Heart Rate</strong>: 170 bpm (87% of max)</li>
<li><strong>Avg Heart rate</strong>: 154 bpm (79% of max)</li>
<li><strong>Feel the burn</strong>: 350 kcals</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What other body parts are sore after my 30-Day Shred workout?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Glutes (!!!) owwww&#8230;lots of squatting</li>
<li>Biceps</li>
<li>Shoulders</li>
<li>Shins</li>
</ul>
<p>This workout is going to <strong>kick my butt</strong>! I can&#8217;t wait to do it again.</p>

<p>I thought I would do a fun <strong>mini-series</strong> of <strong>videos</strong> tonight (since I am in a video kinda mood today!) and show you what food I have in my <strong>fridge, freezer</strong>, and various <strong>cupboards</strong>. <img src='http://ohsheglows.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I hope this will help show you <strong>what foods I eat</strong> on a regular basis!</p>
<p>If there are foods shown on camera that I <strong>don&#8217;t mention</strong>, it is simply because <strong>I don&#8217;t eat it</strong> and I didn&#8217;t want to make the video too long.</p>
