I had my first One Lucky Duck experience in NYC after hearing so many good things about it over the past few years. One Lucky Duck was founded in 2005 by Sarma Melngailis, the co-creator of the Manhattan raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. Sarma started One Lucky Duck to help bring the raw, vegan and organic lifestyle out of the underground and into the mainstream.
At One Lucky Duck, you can find all kinds of amazing raw vegan snacks from raw macaroons to chocolate chip cookies, handmade in small batches in the kitchen at NYC’s raw vegan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine.
We visited the Chelsea Market location and I was so excited to step inside this cafe!

We did all kinds of NYC sightseeing on this day of our travels, so the market was a nice change of pace after rushing around all day.
I bashfully asked the server if I could snap a picture or two. I don’t know about you other bloggers, but I get shy when I take pictures of food…!
It’s a really cute & cozy cafe. All of their products are on the wall including a fridge for fresh juices and whatnot. I got myself a few goodies (macaroons, raw chocolate, and buckwheat crispies) and a shot of wheatgrass for good measure.
It was hard to choose! I’ve somehow managed to open everything over the past few days and everything tastes incredible. I especially fell in love with the buckwheat cinnamon crispies (below). Maybe I can make these at home too? It’s on my list. ;)

Oh well it’s hard to chose but as long as my favourite meal is breakfast then chocolate chip banana cake (shh… with some additional pieces of chocolate!). Banana… chocolate… and cake! JUST for me! for the breakfast!! and maybe some more chocolate :) yes please!
really loving kale chips as a snack… so many vegan faves, how to choose?!
My favourite vegan food is definitely a big kale salad with avocado, dulse and hemp seeds- yummiest thing in the world!
Vegan Curry for sure!
My favorite vegan food is your cheeze sauce. I love it and my (real) cheese-obsessed husband like it, which is amazing.
hmm…favourite vegan food is probably apples!
Soo many vegan favorites to choose from! Right now my entire family and I are loving your “This Ain’t Your Gramma’s Sweet Potatoes.” Made for Thanksgiving and will for Christmas, as well. I also LOVE the gluten free vegan Cowgirl Cookies! They are very pricey though! I’d love to see you recreate them!
i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Pillow Cookies! They are amazinggggg!
my favourite vegan food is green monster smoothies!
Mmmmmm fun!!
I just made VEGAN turtles – yes gooey caramel with peanuts and chocolate – it’s my favorite!! :)
Kale chips!
Chana Masala (with chickpeas!)
A delicious raw vegan pate, yummy!
wow, what an amazing give away!!
I think the best vegan foods are those you don’t even consider vegan because they are just so simple and natural– vegetable soup, a simple veggie and quinoa dish, coconut oil granola, etc etc (and always fresh fruit and vegetables!)
My favorite vegan food is that cashew basil cheeze sauce you had with that vegan lasagna. I put it on everything, sandwiches, use it as a dip for crackers and veggies. It so good!
Hmm I like anything with vegetables….big, giant salads! Also the whole wheat blueberry muffin recipe you have posted here before. No one believes me that it’s vegan!
My favorite vegan food is VOO! Since introducing Vegan Ovenight Oats into my diet, my breakfasts have seriously never been better!
To be honest, and I swear I’m not trying to be a suck-up, your Oh-She-Glows mint nanaimo bars! That recipe was the first vegan baking dish I made, and they were all gone in a matter of 24 hours. Yum! Also very festive for this time of year!
I have so many favorite foods that are vegan! I would have to say peanut butter. And I use that delicious peanut butter to make vegan peanut sauce for my favorite veggie, kale. Thanks for the giveaway! I love reading the other responses, too.
Nutritional yeast has been my favorite discovery since cooking almost all vegan food. My sister also made this AMAZING vegan pumpkin chocolate chip bread over thanksgiving. Oh, and my vegan gravy which everyone (omnivores and veggies alike) raved about. Plus a million other things! :D
Lately my fav vegan food has been your brownie pumpkin pecan pie! Sooo delicious…think I can make it after the holidays? ;D
