Thanks to your help this morning, I was able to create a fundraising page through Canada helps. I knew you guys would pull through for me. :)
I’m really excited to announce that I’m holding a fundraiser to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross Japan Disaster relief. I have been thinking about how I could help out and I decided to do this because there is strength in numbers!
My goal is to raise at least $1,000. Fundraiser closes Wednesday March 16th at 10pm EST. It is a lot to raise in just over 1 day, but I KNOW that we can make this happen!

This is such a great idea. The poor people in Japan…my heart goes out to each and every person. You’re such a generous and caring person for doing this raffle.
I cannot even imagine what those people are going through. How devastating.
Thank you for doing this — I know you will surpass your goal!
What a great idea! Thank you for providing a way for us to give to those who need the basics… water and food. My prayers are with the people in Japan!
This is such a great idea Ange! I know you’ll absolutely crush the $1000 goal. :)
Hi! I just donated $10 but where it said do I want to provide my name and info I said no, because I have previously been added to mailing lists for other charities and I wanted to avoid that. I neglected to consider it might not tell you who I am (which I don’t mind), for the drawing. If it doesn’t, let me know! My confimration number was C1216585.
Thanks Stephanie! Yes it still does tell me the donor names. Thanks for checking!
Oh Angela, you are the best! You are already more than halfway to your goal :)
You are such a wonderful woman! I have friends and a professor over there. Thankfully, they are all alright, but I am horrified at the images I am seeing. I am only thankful that the Japanese government is accepting foreign aid this time.
Great Idea Ang! I already donated to the red cross but nonetheless… I think you’re fabulous for doing this!
If everyone gave $10 it would make such a big difference…. strength in numbers is right!

I’m so glad you’re doing this! What a thoughtful thing to do. I think it’s great that you’ve found a personal way to help out.

Angela, I just donated $20, and I did receive a confirmation number (C1216763), but then I received an error message? Can you let me know if everything went through ok? Thanks!
I’ll be donating once my paycheck arrives in the mail! It’s so devastating, and I’m glad there are people like you out there who do want help and encourage others to do so too!

Hi Angela,
I am a frequent visitor of your blog (I love your recipes!) and I just wanted to comment on how great this Japan Relief Glo Bar raffle.
As a Japanese citizen living in the US, it has been very difficult and heartbreaking watching the events unfold from afar.
I truly appreciate how people all around the world have been contributing to the effort.
A big thank you to Angela and to everyone making donations.
Emilie
