Nice Tongue!

November 12, 2010

IMG_1039

Fun fact about Sketchie- he is a huge clean freak. I think he spends half his life cleaning himself. He also doesn’t like it when we touch his fur because he has to clean that spot again.

Do you have any pets? Share a fun fact about them if you’d like :)

I have 2 Bengal kitties at home. Aren’t they the best? I’m assuming Sketchie is a Bengal. Both of mine jump in the shower with me every morning – they love to be clean.

I’m in love with Sketchie!

I have a dog and two cats.

Fun facts about them: My dog Blue is deaf but knows over 15 hand signals (many of which were not taught!)

And our two cats are named after liquors… Stoli and Tuaca. Blame my boyfriend. :P

One of my parents’ cats likes to bathe her paws in the water bowl. It’s so funny when she starts in on it, but I’m just glad I don’t have to share water with her. :)

We have two German Shorthaired Pointers – they both like to ‘groom’ themselves. Like a cat. We will say to them while they are licking their paws, “Aw, *insert name* is a kitty-cat!” And immediately both of their ears perk up & they run straight to the door. The think they love cats & one is at the door, when in essence they’re just a hunting breed who would love to ‘play’ with a cat!

We have one cat, Corina, who’s a clean freak, too. She’s also obsessed with water: as a treat, we’ll squirt water out of a squirt bottle, and she’ll prop up on her hind legs to lap it up. Super cute.

Sketchie is so cute!

We’ve got 4 kitties. All with incredibly different personalities! We are looking forward to seeing if our Christmas tree survives this year ;).

Sketchie is so adorable!
I have one dog, a Beagle who has an evening ritual of intense paw cleaning followed by a roll on the carpet. She also loves putting her feet in her water bucket on hot days, animals bring such joy to our lives!

I have a Labrador puppy who is 9 months old. She is the silliest puppy. For Halloween we took her with us (and my 8 year old daughter) trick or treating. Maple, the puppy dressed up as a Unicorn. She was the prettiest Unicorn I have ever seen and she proudly wore that horn on her head!

I have one dog, Bruno, who’s a boxer mix, and one cat, Pumpkin. Bruno is crazy energetic and is always playing “How-Close-Can-I-Get-to-the-Cat-Before-She-Swats-at-Me?” Pumpkin is one of the cutest cats ever (except for Sketchie of course ;) ), and one of my favorite things she does is when she comes inside from the cold weather, goes to the middle of the living room hardwood floor, and starts “rolling the cold off”.

I used to have a cat that would sit on the the heat grate (which is on the floor) while the heat was blowing to warm up. So funny to watch.

I have a cat, her name is Maggie (she picked it,) and I have had her for 3 years. Before her Dad moved in she was a snob, but I was pampering her as such. (I can’t help it, I love my little furball) Since he has moved in she is literally a push over and loves everyone now!

She never showed it at first until one day I caught her being pushed around by his foot (she has a foot fetish?) and I said, “Maggie don’t let yourself be man handled!” she jumped up so fast ha ha But I love how she’s become extra affectionate and happy since my boyfriend moved in. They’ve adopted each other! :)

One thing I was going to say, don’t think of it as Sketchie washing you off of him, think of it as you’re such a good cook and taste delicious. :) That’s what I say when Maggie does the same thing.

We have two bengal cats (one’s spotted, one’s marbled). They are quirky as can be and I love them for it. One is a fetcher… anything I throw, he returns. The other is a snuggler and smart as can be… always opening doors and bewitching me with his good looks. Your Sketchie is gorgeous. His spots, my god.

I used to have another cat that acted more like a dog than a cat. We were able to train her to fetch a little ball. She couldn’t meow very well, it came out like “aaaa”. She’d also come when we called her name, none of my other cats would be bothered.

My mom would not let us have pets growing up, so I think I’m making up for lost time in my adult years. We have had so many pets. At one time we had 3 ferrets, 3 cats, and 2 dogs. Unfortunately, 2 of the ferrets have died and all 3 cats have died. We now still have one ferret, her name is Eowyn and she is 5 years old. We also have 3 bull terriers, Roz, Ellie, and Boomer. I have so many stories. Ripley, one of my cats, acted much like a dog – she would fetch balls and come when called. Kitty, my oldest cat, was found outside one day(he was a stray). He had a broken jaw. We took him to the vet, and the vet said that it started forming a calcium deposit and was healing crooked, but should be ok. He ended up living 18 years in good health with that crooked jaw and missing fang. He was my scrapper and such a lover. My dogs are all pretty crazy. Unfortunately with this breed, they OCD and have a tendency to chase their tails a lot. The puppy(Boomer) managed to catch his and bit off about an inch of it. He’s fine and continues to chase that tail!

None of my pets have ever enjoyed getting a bath.
