I'm a total texture person when it comes to food. I love all things crunchy but like Eric, I also dislike pulp (I will drink it if it's there but if I'm at the store and have a choice, I always get the "no-pulp" option), eggplant and flaky pastries. The latter is one of the reasons I don't like pie...because of the flaky pie texture that I know everyone says is the mark of a good pie--and one I'm going to master this summer. I just don't like it. I also don't like things with too much dough, like deep-dish pizza, but pizza crust is okay, as long as it's hot and fresh, because it's crunchy.

Oh gosh - I'm completely a texture person. The biggest example is tomatoes. I don't like tomatoes as raw slices, but you can take those exact same tomatoes, throw them in a pan and create a chunky sauce (leaving skins on even) and all of a sudden they're delicious! It's just the slimy texture that I don't like.
Same with nuts - I don't like whole nuts, but nut butters are amazing. Once I realized it was about texture, I felt much better about it and can identify so many other things that fall into a similar category. It's also opened me up to trying more things that I may have thought I didn't like - but now realize it could be a texture thing.

I am a total texture person! Most of the foods I dislike I dislike because of texture rather than flavor.

Mushrooms
Cottage cheese
non-Greek yogurt
Oatmeal if it's too creamy (I make my oats with about half the amount of liquid called for.)

Those are just the ones off the top of my head.

There are some textures I just can't get into either... like cottage cheese. Ugh, the thought turns my stomach!

I don't think the Monster Oats would bother me at all - I'd eat 'em! I like all textures ... no aversions.

I don't do slimy or overly mushy. One of the weirdest things about my eating habits--I love bananas, but absolutely will not eat them on their own! It just *feels* so gross in my mouth, even though I like the taste. So I put them in smoothies, oatmeal, cereal, bread/muffins...

I used to hate mushrooms for their texture - and now I love them!!! The only thing that gets me now is super ripe bananas. I keep mine in the fridge so they stay kinda firm :)
