I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!
I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3/4 cup chickpeas
- PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
- red wine vinegar + EVOO
On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).
With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)
Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.
I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!
So fresh and minty!
I had an awesome workout today:
- 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)
I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.
I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.
My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!
I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!
Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!
The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.
The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)
The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!
For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):
- Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)
Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.
Goodluck!
Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!
Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Glo bar giveaways! Click here for the US giveaway (free account sign up required) and click here for the CAD giveaway.

AAaahhh! I love going to my dentist but my orthodontist always tells (SHOWS) me how to brush my teeth properly, and I always seem to not get it right! But 4 minues aday will keep the dentist away!
I could TOTALLY use a toothbrushing kick in the butt like you needed! I’m pretty much certain that I’m guilty of speed brushing too and the Husband gives me grief about it!
I recently challenged myself to floss for 21 days straight to see if it became a habit…I will admit I floss more than I used to, however I still somehow manage to ‘forget’ some nights :S
I would LOVE to test out this toothbrush!
More and more I’m craving warm lunches, too! There’s nothing like comforting food sometimes :)
Nice job with the workout! I want a treadmill in my house so badly!!
Teeth… what a subject. Taking care of your teeth is very important. Brushing, flossing, eating the right foods, etc, it all contributes. I love brushing my teeth because it leaves a refreshed, healthy feeling in my mouth (which helps fight cravings too). The only thing I don’t do enough is flossing, eek! Amazing review!
Fabulous job on ‘Wittle my Middle’ today :) You are going to have rockin’ ab’s (if you don’t already)!
HI!
My teeth love flossing attention and mouth wash attention. They actually adore all of the attention they can get since I too have to pay my own dental bills and cannot get to the dentist as often as I would like!!
:D <— insert toothy smile here!!
Thanks for the chance at the Oral B Triumph!!!
Haha, I used to love going to the dentist (what a weirdo! ;)) I remember one share and tell type thing we did in school when I was in maybe first or second grade and the other kids had to guess what we had done on the weekend. Everybody was guessing things like ‘went to the zoo’ and I was ‘nope, I got to go to the dentist! *big grin*’ I’m sure they were all less than impressed!
-K
As I currently follow a pretty strict regime of floss, mouth wash, brush, repeat – this addition of a pretty sweeeeeet Oral B toothbrush would be fannntastic!! :)
… Unfortunately the dentist appointments have become more frequent as I age… And I thought my teeth were invincable!!
I completely love my electric toothbrush!! so I understand your love for it! I also have an Oral-B, though not the kind you’re giving away, but I love it! It pulses at the 2 minute mark so you know you’ve brushed long enough!
Also, that lunch looks phenomenal!!!
I would be sad that this is a Canada only giveaway, but I already have a Oral-B Triumph…freaking love that thing. Funny, it was my first “splurge” when I started working full time after college. I love the little pulsing when its time to switch quadrants and I totally understand the love of the smiley face.
Now what is it about this yoga related giveaway? I’ll be watching, I really need a new mat!!
Ang!
I am in dying need of this little mr.:( lets just say I havnt had the time or money to visit the dentist and its been almost a year… embarassing and sad considering i used to go every 6 months! anywho I would love this toothbrush, it would save me from having to ask for a flipping dentist tool for christmas haha.
otherwise i like my teeth, theyre pwetty;)
Hi Angela!
I have always been really good at going to the dentist every six months but since I have moved to Canada (i’m from the UK) and don’t have medical insurance yet there have been some much bigger gaps! I’m going home in Jan for a visit to my friends, family and the dentist. Needless to say I’d love an electric toothbrush to keep my pearly whites beautiful =)
I try to go to the dentist regularly, but I sometimes forget :D
Hi Angela,
I would love to win this toothbrush. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, but it’s a way too expensive for me right now.
I had to spend just under 2 grand to get my teeth fixed last month (a root canal and lots of fillings). For someone unemployed and no insurance it’s a good chunk of change, let me tell ya.
I had a huge fear of dentists and didn’t go for almost 10 years. I know, it’s embarrassing. :( But then one day I was struck with the most horrible tooth ache and had no choice but to face my fear. And I’m glad I did. Ever since then I’ve been taking excellent care of my teeth and will try to go to the dentist at least once a year now. I’ve learned my lesson. :)
Having one of these would probably make my dentist happy…and me too! I wouldn’t get a lecture anymore about taking better care of my teeth. I brush but am really bad at flossing consistently. This tooth brush would my mouth so fresh and so clean. LOL I should start flossing more, I would luv to have all original teeth in my head when I’m an old granny :)
Candy Cane Lane Green Tea is a-mazing!
Hum… I’ve never had problem to visit the dentist because my teeths were always perfect. :) I would be really pleased to try this powerfull tooth brush!! :)
I love the idea of this brush. We’re always looking for new and creative ways to get our kids to enjoy brushing and I think that smiley face would really inspire!
I haven’t been to the dentist in FAR too long, so I’m exxxxtra careful with my dental care. I’ve always wanted to try an electric toothbrush but could never justify the expense. That timer is a wicked idea.
When we were kids my Mom would sit with us while we brushed our teeth, she had a song she sung (in German) and once the song was over we’d brushed our teeth long enough. I admit, I still sing the song (but just in my head!)
Crossing my fingers!!!
I’ve been better about going to the dentist regularly. However, I am bad at flossing :(.
I could definitely use this brush! I admit I’m super lazy with flossing and I have braces too so I really should take better care of my teeth!
Thanks for the giveaway too!!
