I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!
I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3/4 cup chickpeas
- PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
- red wine vinegar + EVOO
On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).
With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)
Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.
I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!
So fresh and minty!
I had an awesome workout today:
- 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)
I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.
I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.
My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!
I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!
Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!
The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.
The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)
The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!
For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):
- Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)
Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.
Goodluck!
Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!
Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Glo bar giveaways! Click here for the US giveaway (free account sign up required) and click here for the CAD giveaway.

I am guilty of the speed brushing as well, a timer would be a very handy tool to have! I don’t love going to the dentist but I do love how my teeth feel right after they have been cleaned, all smooth and shiny!! Love it!
oops i’m from the us!! disregard me for the contest :)
Oo contest, i never win at these things, but it is worth a try.
I am pretty much terrified of dentists. All i can remember is the one time my dentist yelled at me, never went back to him!
I floss a few times per week, but i still think an electric one would give me a good swift kick in the butt to brush and floss more. Plus that timer, no rushing when you got a timer! Can’t cheat anymore. thats nifty i love it.
I go the dentist quite regularly…I had braces growing up..for 2 and a half years! So I really try to take good care of my teeth now :)
Great contest!
My teeth are… very straight! At 19, I finally decided to get braces – I didn’t have ‘bad’ teeth, but enough that it did bother me. I figured now or never. I wore them for just over a year.
I only had three wisdom teeth! I had them taken out a few years ago and there were two on the top but only one bottom. Thank goodness as the bottoms are the tough ones to get out!
Good luck to everyone!
Hmm – a fun fact – I had my wisdom teeth pulled last December (the 5th to be exact) and the left-side of my tongue is STILL frozen!! Apparently the feeling may never come back!!
I have been REALLY wanting the Oral B Triumph but just can’t spend the $$ on it right now…. to win it would be AH-mazing!! :)
Lastly …. Isn’t the Candy Cane Lane tea the best?
I have really straight, nice teeth but I’m scared of the dentist so I’m pretty sure they’re all going to fall out at some point.
I do floss my teeth everyday, and I brush them twice a day..at least. Sometimes I get anal and brush after eating! I have a regular check-up every six months. I hate the awful taste in my mouth afterwards, so I guess I don’t look too forward to those appointments!
I hate the dentist, had horrible nightmares about dental visits as a kid! I have had braces and my wisdom teeth out. Did I mention how I hate going to the dentist?!!
I am a very big flosser and brusher =)
I have that exact toothbrush!!! It is the best thing EVER!!! Well that and my water pic : )
I floss about 5 times a day. I can’t concentrate on anything if I don’t floss after eating. That’s one of the many reasons why I like smoothies ;)
I sort of have to like my dentist… he’s my father-in-law :) Which means I should keep my teeth in tip top shape! Especially since my mother-in-law is also a dental hygenist. What was I thinking?! I absolutely hate flossing…
My teeth are a little crooked, but I like them that way :-) A boy once told me that he loved my “imperfect teeth.” I brush a lot, but have never used a fancy toothbrush like that!
I am Canadian, and my email address is:

Jolene
I love the dentist, but it’s been a while since I’ve been! :( I will admit though, I’m not a flosser, and I could really use something like this to make me like brushing just a little bit more! :)
WOW!!! Awesome giveaway :)
I am a very aggressive brusher and a lazy flosser. I get in trouble every time I go to the dentist and I always promise to change my bad behaviour…..My intensions are good ;)
When I was 6 years old I got my teeth SHAVED…yes shaved! Just thinking about it makes me shudder. Apparently the dentist thought if he shaved my baby teeth then there would be room for my new teeth to come in. I guess it worked seeing as I never needed braces, but it was a terrible experience.

My dentist always compliments me on my flossing even though I have never flossed once! Lucky, I think!
Love this give away. I very much dislike dentists, after breaking my front tooth x2 and getting my wisdom teeth RIPPED from my head…. They are not my favorite!!
But I love brushing!!
