During SGBC and your posts I have finally learned to stop degrading my body and learned to focus on how strong my body really is. How blessed I am to wake up each day and let my legs carry me and my arms hold sweet babies. I am healthy and blessed. Thank you for the WONDERFUL reminders on this blog!
Jen
I loved SGBC because I tend to look in the mirror and make negative comments about my body. This taught me to love myself and appreciate the positive aspects of me and my body.
Omy goodness ang! I can’t believe you’ve been blogging only since then! You seem like a seasoned pro :D I have a soft spot for sketchie posts- but my fave are the FAQ’s…your honesty and well-thought out answers give me great info on questions I usually have myself. Congrats and you know I am OSG’s numba one fan!! (well one of them)
I really enjoyed the “Learning to Love the Journey” post. All of these years of working out had seemed like a chore to me. I never really stopped to consider that I should be enjoying it all as I was doing it OR thanking my body for being capable! OSG and the SGBC has changed that for me. It served to reinforce my ability put my body and body image in persective. Every time I start to have negative or self-loathing thoughts I almost now instinctively think…”what would Angela say?” I’ve come to realize that perfection is not required and that I need to love what God gave me right now.
Thank you for being a constant source of inspriation.
why oh why do I live in Belgium? :-(
I enjoyed looking forward to read your motivating posts every morning! Loved the section on motivation….sometimes I just need a little kick start to get reved up about my workouts :)
This month has been incredibly motivating for me. I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. It has been amazing to watch you grown your business and it gives me motivation to follow my dreams. I really loved the motivation and goals posts. Thank you for doing this challenge – it has been a fabulous journey!
I really enjoyed the post Feeling confident in summer clothes, I think sometimes we are our worst critics. We just need to realize what is important in life, worrying if I have a muffin top is just a waste of energy.
I really loved being able to read advice from different people during SGBC – not that yours isn’t helpful, haha – just that it is nice to see how others approach exercise/health/motivation.
I really enjoy your openness on this blog. I feel good after reading each post and it has helped me recognize the importance of reflecting on my own life and evaluate what is most important to me in life. So, Thank you!
Katherine
Congratulations! I think I really enjoy all the nutrition posts of course and the psychological nutrition post, but I also enjoyed the ‘keeping your eye on the prize’ post. I’ve realized that we’re all not perfect (so sorry if that didn’t come out right before) and have our slump days, but that’s okay because in time we’ll get back at it feeling better than before :) I myself was in kind of a funk this week, and was dragging and feeling like my body was trying to get sick. I haven’t worked out all that much and that’s okay because I may have fallen off the wagon, but the wagon is always there and I can jump on again soon! Thanks!

The interval training workout was great. I get so locked into steady runs or a typical weight circuit that I just go with the flow and forget to change things up. I really love the look on your face in all the pictures. It’s clear you are having FUN!
I started looking to blogs this summer for inspiration to lose weight (I need to lose over 100 pounds), and Oh She Glows is definitely a regular and a favorite! The SGBC gave me inspiration, and while I didn’t do the recommended activities alone, I tried almost everything once! I’ve lost 25 pounds and am inspired to maybe start a blog to get me back to where I need to be! Thanks for what you do, and for such an awesome giveaway!
I just tweeted to you that I liked the post about make-up, but I also liked Zesty’s root vegetable post!!
Your post “Learning to Love the Journey” meant a lot to me.
I used to be SO critical of myself, constantly picking apart my flaws… wishing I would look different (and that “perfect” image seemed to change all the time…) Nothing was good enough!
I’ve learned to LOVE myself AND my body for what it is NOW. Not what it COULD look like, not what it might look like if I do more sit-ups at the gym…. not what I’d look like with a different nose, etc…
THIS is the body God gave me, and hell… I’m going to love it with all I’ve got. :)
I absolutely loved the “Dear Body” post. I wrote my own letter to my body and it has really helped me to start looking and thinkng differently about body. I’m trying to focus on all body does for me.
I’m so excited. I hope I win! I love to try the amazing grass products in my gree monsters.
it has made me recognize the real reason for exercise– feeling good and being strong and healthy. it has helped me accept my body for everything it does for me and has taken a lot of the negative feelings out of being active!
Learning to love your body post really hit home with me. I especially loved the whole “right now” part, because I would hate to look back on this time in my life and think about all the time I wasted thinking about how I will be satisfied ten pounds from now. Thank you Angela!
SGBC has encouraged me to try more forms of exercise. I’m still primarily a runner, but it’s great to shake things up a bit so my body isn’t so..lopsided :).
The post “One of Her Greatest Life Lessons.” I think so many of us have struggled or are still struggling with that same lesson and I appreciate your openness about it. It’s both comforting and inspirational to know that we are not alone and there IS a way to develop a positive relationship with our bodies. Seeing your success (and beautiful smile) is so motivating. Thank you Ange!
