I personally am THRILLED to see someone else has shoved a wooden spoon too far into a blender and destroyed it. I did this unfortunately with margaritas so a lot of good tequila got tainted by wood chippings.

Love the ode!

haha, ironically I'm drinking a green monster as I read my RSS feeds. Your poem was adorable! It is because of Caitlin accepting your green monster challenge that I started drinking them. Since I became a vegetarian 3.5 months ago my skin has looked fantastic. I feel healthier and my outlook on food is so much better (I think reading In Defense of Food had a lot to do with that as well)! I don't drink GM's daily but I try my best to have one at least 3 times a week. I much prefer to get my veggies and fruits in whole form but when rushed or if I haven't meant my daily requirements this is my go to thing.

I always switch it up, ingredients vary but this is standard:

1/2 cup of living harvest vanilla hemp milk or pacific foods almond milk
1 piece of organic kale
1 handful organic spinach
1 handful organic baby carrots
1 handful organic raspberries or organic strawberries
LOTS of ice
I may or may not add living harvest vanilla hemp protein powder
I may or may not add almonds or organic raw cashews

Now that I have a new digital camera I promise to sneak a picture in at some point in time!

Mmmm Green Monsters have become a part of our daily lives! I need to take some photos tomorrow morning.
Today's was a lovely mix of tons of spinach, banana, almond milk, hemp protein, and canned butternut squash with a dash of cinnamon. Yum!

I've definitely chopped up a wooden spoon before too. I have to say, I've liked smoothies for a long time, but only recently learned about adding spinach to make it a green monster. It really is amazing and has made me feel great! (I haven't been drinking them every day, but a few times a week). Thanks for the inspiration to live a healthy and active life. I love dropping in each day to see what you are up to.
Plus, what a great husband bringing you a snack!!!
