2. Miley Cyrus- Love It!!! (I am with Mariposa here- I just love this dress! I thought others would too! :D

3. Reese Witherspoon- Can’t make up my mind on this one!

4. Vanessa Hudgens- Hate It!

There will definitely be more of these fun posts in store!

Wondering what I ate today for lunch? I thought you might be! :P

These pics were taken when I packed my lunch last night!

img_1462

The loot:

  • 1 large handful baby organic carrots
  • 1 handful cukes
  • 1 cup Nature’s Path Spelt Cereal
  • 2 pieces Eziekel Sprouted Grain Bread
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Garden Fresh Zesty Guacomole
  • Handful of almonds
  • 1 organic Granny Smith apple
  • 1 Clementine
img_1464

YUM!!! I had the veggies in the morning for a snack, and I saved the clementine and half of the almonds for my afternoon snack. This lunch was filling, crunchy, and sweet with lots of great, fresh flavours. Eating healthy throughout the day at work keeps my energy up and prevents me from hitting that 3pm wall.

What did you have to eat today? Leave a comment and let me know.

Now for some celebrity gossip! I missed this Oprah episode, but I saw the clips all over the celebrity shows last night. Has anyone seen Jennifer Anniston’s interview with Oprah? I was glued to the screen when I watched it on youtube!

What are your thoughts about what Angelina said in her interview (about how her kids will see her and Brad falling in love on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith)?

Personally, I thought it was a bit uncalled for and I’m sure it is hard for Jennifer to hear that. At the same time, I think Jennifer knew the can of worms she was opening when she commented on it in Vogue. So I am on the fence. Basically, it is just good entertainment to me. :D

*Edit: I also wanted to say that I think it is a bit ‘fishy’ that Oprah claims she didn’t know about the Vogue article. Jennifer also has a movie coming out that she is promoting. Kelly commented on this too- I don’t think it was an accident! Celebrities know when to shine the spotlight on them and cause a stir.

On another note, I am SO pumped for Marley and Me!!! I LOVED the book!!! yay!

I’m sure I don’t have to say this but please respect everyone’s opinions when commenting :D

“Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint.” ~Mark Twain

What does this quote mean to you?

To me, it reminds me that the fundamental principles of healthy living don’t change. Healthy living isn’t a fad diet or the latest fitness craze. It is important to be secure enough in your day-to-day healthy habits that you don’t feel tempted to go out and try the latest new diet or diet pill. When you are presented with health information whether on the web, TV, magazines, radio….think critically about what you are hearing. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

TGIF!!! :D

Yay! i’m not the only one who loved that dress!

Re: Jenn and Angelina- the only two people who know about what happened between Brad and Angie are Brad and Angie.. the rest is speculation- who knows what was going on in Jen and Brad’s marriage at that time? HOWEVER!!!! a relationship is meant to be kept private… so i think that people ASKING about it and people TELLING about it should mind their own beeswax.. and not open cans of worms..

did that make any sense?! lol

ha- that quote just makes me laugh. clever. it is true though- the fundamentals never change. thats why i get so frustrated when people email me saying “jillian Michaels says this” or “this new diet says not to eat that” You kidding me? do you really think this huge discovery of not eating past 7 at night is a breakthrough? Weve been around for thousands of years, and frankly we are in worse shape than ever- so how could all this new “fitness news” be true? dont buy into the hype.

and I empathize with jennifer aniston but i htink she should quit talking about it. I havent seen anything from her in ages and all of a sudden shes doing these interveiws? does she have a movie coming out or something?

oh, my goodness. i have spent a good portion of the afternoon browsing your blog. I really love it. You and your family are beautiful and so is this blog. I caught you through Kelly Olexas blog, who I also happen to think is awesome. I’m beginning a full-on life transformation and you’ve provided yet another mentor for me. If they say imitate success, I surely will be imitating you! (don’t worry.. not in a creepy stalker way..hehe) Thanks so much!

I am interested in hearing more about how exactly you overcame binging. I am struggling with this now. currently I am seeing a dietician and am doing much better than 6 months ago. but how did you finally get over that behavior. I feel like sometimes I dont even know why I binge. thanks for sharing your story

Hi Angela!

I came across your blog through kelly’s blog and I have to say, I spent half the afternoon browsing here and I love your food philosophy. I’m in the middle of a huge diet transformation (getting rid of all processed food) this is going very well, and I’ve heard before that the imitation of success is a valuable tool, or something to that effect ;-) I will be imitating you in the future because I think you’re definitely on the right track! Keep it up!!

Best,

Stephanie

I interpret the Mark Twain quote to mean “don’t believe everything you read”.

I’m such a smut fan…..I have to admit I love reading the dirt on celebs as old as it gets.

Mmmmm….cookies sound good……darnit!!
