Many of my favorite exercise memories involve snowboarding as well.. a friend of mine from high school and I have so much fun on the slopes, singing certain songs on the lifts, and telling each other stories on walkie talkies when we get separated! We also had a blast when we went to Utah a couple years ago- much better mountains there than in Ohio :)

I also played rec softball for 2 years in college and had a lot of fun! That really made me come out of my sports "shell".. I'm not much for team sports because I'm always too worried I will make a mistake!

My best exercise memory is when I ran the Chicago Marathon back in 2001, when I was 70 pounds thinner! I had never run a marathon before and had never been more than a casual jogger until I started training for it the previous spring. I was living in NYC while training, and 9/11 happened just a month before the Chicago race. My training group had to decide if we wanted to go on with things because we were heartbroken by everything going on in our city. After some thought we felt like the most meaningful thing to do would be to go ahead and travel to Chicago as planned and run that race in memory of the people who died on September 11. It was a beautiful day when we ran the marathon and it was very bittersweet, but it is also my favorite fitness memory.

Yay for not eating meat! (or hardly eating meat at least in your case)

Thanks for the fun facts!

My favorite exercise memory is playing soccer in high school - I had so much fun and it helped me become a much better person!

A recent favorite memory is when put together a game of soccer with my family and friends - everyone loved it and it was because of me and it made me feel so good!

My least favorite memory, I might add, was the very last time I went SNOWBOARDING :( 5 or 6 years ago. I broke my tailbone. It still hurts from time to time :( I was really good and was an avid snowboarder, but that was a deal breaker for me!

my favorite workout moments are mostly involving skiing! I used to ski alllllll the time because we live really close to a resort.. my favorite memory is skiing with a friend from Chile (who'd never seen snow!) and he got to be a good snowboarder... we would race, and go backwards, and just have a really really wonderful time laughing and making fun of each other and riding the lifts! Then going back in to a hot toddy or irish coffee! It was a really wonderful time of life!
